*This is a note covered inside a book titled "Advaced infantry tactics by High General Marcus Johnatan of Cormyr". It contains multiple entries, covering about 30 pages. Some of them in orcish, the rest in common. What is posted below is the tale made of summarized entries*
It's year 1280. Brokentusk tribe of orcs are the dominating group within the greenskin on the North. They are led by Kagar Neckgrip - cunning orcish warrior of great physical strength. Kagar intends to gather the orc tribes and all the warriors he can get, and form the great army. Ambitious orc tries to convince the Uthgardt tribes to join him, although they refuse. Considering this as an insult, Kagar gathers all of his aviable warriors and leads offensive against barbarians, willing to either force them to do his bidding, or completely destroy them.
After initial succes, and burning down few barbarian settlements, Brokentusks have contacted the Uthgardt army, rounded up in great haste by female warrior - Naelthra. Both armies have clenched somewhere in the icy wastelands of the North.
In the result, barbarian army was defeated, although orcish tribes suffered enormous casualties, which forced Kagar to withdraw and hole up in his clan stronghold. Before that though, he managed to defeat Naelthra herself and took her as his prisoner. Kagar decided that for her defiance, Naelthra shall be punished by giving birth to his child. Orc raped her, and held his prisoner for few months, untill he realized that she's pregnant. Then he sent her back to her tribe.
At first, Naelthra had been welcomed as a hero - until her kin realized what does she bear under her heart. She was then cast away to the edge of society, being despised for her lack of honour and courage to end her own life.
She had focused her mind on her child - the newborn half-orc, given the name "Nelthrom". She raised him and trained in malee, constantly seeping her bitter words into his ears, trying to plant hostility towards both the orcs and Uthgardt in his heart. The boy was strong though, and soon he managed to prove his battle skill to the Uthgardt. They have accepted him as a warrior of the tribe. As his meaning amongst barbarians increased, his mother's grip on reality loosened, and soon her sorrow have driven her insane.
It was during Nelthrom's wedding with one of the Uthgardt women, bearing the name of Hura, when Naelthra came to the settlement and started to insult her own son, somehow mistaking him as Kagar.
While she have continued to spew venom and bile among the people, the tribe's chieftain approached her and slapped her in the face, stating that she has no right to neither be here, nor insulting one of the clan warriors.
At this moment Nelthrom was torn apart. On the one side, his beloved, but forgotten mother, standing against him and making insults in his direction, and on the other side - the chieftain insulting him by rising hand against Nelthrom's kin. Always being a hot-blood, Nelthrom couldnt keep himself calm. He frenzied, and because he havent got any weapon around, he tore his chieftain apart with his bare hands, along with the few warriors that have found the courage to fight him. When the blood mist fell from his eyes, and he realized what he has done, he decided that he cant stay with the tribe anymore (not like they wanted him after the event). He took his posessions and newly married Hura, and went to the only family he still had - to the Brokentusk clan hold.
He fought his place among the orcs and had been given a new name: Kagarmak, for his recent deeds and heritage mockingly called "Neckrip". And though he never raided with them, he succeded in protecting his wife and newly born child.
The boy recieved two names: Phuroh - orcs called him with this one, and Hruka - given by his mother.
Hruka was risen along with the other orc children, and soon started to behave more like an orc than a human. Seeing this, the old warlord Kagar claimed the boy and started to teach him his own ways.
At the age of 5, Hruka was introduced to the shortsword, and started to train his skills. Six years later, at the age of 11, he posessed the similiar physical strength as most of the orcish warriors, and was able to wield the greataxe. Three years later, he went with the warriors for his first raid. He fought against Uthgardts, desperately defending their homes, and survived. That was the first time he had a contact with a human woman. Everything he remember from this "meeting" is loud screams, lots of blood and tears. Hers.
It's year 1318. Hruka, being 16 at that moment, is going back to the clan hold with his warriors, after invading the goblin territory and looting everything they could. On they way back, they are ambushed by a band of Uthgardts and defeated. Hruka survives and remain in the wilderness for the next 2 years.
After that time, he encounters the human town of Luskan and works as a bodyguard and thug. Being cought hands-on, he's imprisoned, but corrupted jailors are selling him to the arena owner. Hruka fights as a gladiator for some time. His talents are quickly spotted, and a mysterious, hooded man offers him training. He introduces himself as the Instructor.
Instructor shows Hruka how to fight while wearing a heavy armor, and how to wield a greatsword.
After two years of combat training... *few pages in this place have been purposely removed*
...During his service in Luskan, he establishes few alliances. The most importnant of them is his relationship with the priestess of Talona, who teaches him about most deadly poisons.
Now, after 18 years... *few pages have been removed in this place* ...instructor has sent Hruka to investigate. Giving him few hours for preparations, and enough coin to pay for his seat on the vessel called "Phoenix".
It's year 1350. Hruka have finally found... *there's a hole in the paper, right where the part reading about what he found would be* ..."So they havent fell at all. Good. Now i just need to find them." He crumples the note and wanders off.
