*Paper posted on the billboard, as well as a copy sent to candlekeep, They read*

"Am Rhys Feivra of Doron Amar, on the request of my good friend Ivaris Alomane i decided to copy down a speech i made in Doron Amar while teaching lore. It went as follows.

"I may as well go into a topic close to me as Ive spent much time studying it, trying to understand it, Warlocks.

Warlocks are born, not made. Some are the descendants of people who trafficked with demons and devils long ago. Some seek out the dark powers as youths, driven by ambition or the desire for power, but a few blameless individuals are simply marked out by the supernatural forces as conduits and tools. Warlocks are marked by such supernatural powers in the soul, not the flesh, as such there powers are heavily corruptible. Corruption is something every warlock must deal with. Humans and Half orcs are the must likely races to become warlocks, other races are rare at best, Elves being the rarest.

Fey warlocks, Some warlocks gain there powers from fey forces that can be every bit as dangerous as demons or devils. Ive heard many people think that just because there Fey they must be good, but in fact the word Fey is a broad term referring to anything that once lived in the Fey Wild. The type of Fey that give warlock power are extremely dangerous, often members of the Unseelie, a group of Evil fey that are foes to our very gods the Seldarine. Auril the evil god of cold was once an Arch fey who was known to make warlock pacts."

A paper posted on the billboard under the original, as well as a copy sent to Candlekeep. It reads:

Remarkably scant of truth and devoid of fact. Some warlocks are born, not made. History shows warlock linages dating back thousands of years. Others willfully engage in pacts, others are tricked into them. Fey are generally mischievous, yes. They can also be malign, but certainly these are the minority. Fey locks should not be considered in the same context as those who willingly seek pacts with evil. Take care in your judgement of these unfortunate souls.

In regards to how one treats a warlock, one should consider several things. First, is there evil present? There are ways of knowing. Paladins and clerics of good faith are best to make such judgements. If evil is not detected, and the warlock displays no malevolent characteristics, or casts necromantic magics, then one should be cautious in their judgements. Is not the same judgement made upon wizards whom have the potential of necromancy?

For many warlocks, the curse of their being is a burden rather than a blessing. The powers they possess, whether evil or not, take a great strain on the body and mind of the warlock. Some do go mad, others manage.

Warlocks of power can and should contribute to the society in which they exist. It is better for them and better for the whole. Care must be taken in the judgement of warlocks, but a judgement societies make all the time. It may even be easier to determine the veracity of a warlocks loyalty then even your standard wizard. Those who study the weave lust for its power and are more prone to malign activity in the pursuit of it. Warlocks do not seek such powers beyond what they possess.

Signed, Teo

*Wonders why he was more or less quoted word for word while the article was being called scant and devoid*
