An elf moves to stand before the crowd, stepping slowly up the raised dais. He looks over the crowd of peasants for a moment.
"I am Valurin of the Three-Thunders, some of you know me. Other will come to know me in time, but I come to you today to speak of a greater problem one that threatens to drown this city. . "
He pauses for a moment as the crowd moves to mutter between themselves, one soul going as far as to shout, "Down with the Fist!"
Valurin chuckles, a deep sound that could set plates rattling, "No, not the Fist, I speak of something that moves to threaten even your children, your families and every copper in you pockets. Tieflings, elementalkin, orcs, drow. These. . things are allowed free roam within this city. Creatures known to cause nothing but chaos and death in their travels, creatures that--while those who sit in castles have nothing to fear, prey on those like you..."
He paused gathering his breath, turning suddenly he pointed. A genasi earth-type stood apart from the rest. Like a boulder, sitting on platemail, its head rolled to face Valurin.
"Is That what you want to live next to you? To watch your children day after day as they grow. I ask you, is that Natural?"
It started somewhere in the front, perhaps one of the sailors he had avenged earlier or the small lass with the dirty bow. But it started, like a low rumble, and as Valruin of the Three Thunders stepped down he knew the crowd had spoken.
"No"
