The Death of Maka
* You see Maka, hung by a tree outside of Candlekeep. He's hands and feet are shackled by irons of the Fist *

Re: The Death of Maka
Dangereuse walks towards the library fortress lost in thought. She stops suddenly and shock and anger flash across her face as she notices the limp body of a Hin hanging from a tree.
"Human justice!" she hisses, "This place is no different after all than Amn, Hin will never be treated with fairness and decency here!"
Her face darkens and her features grow grim, as she recognizes the features of the stiff, discolored corpse. It is the body of her friend, the bard Maka, hanging from the tree still in chains. Maka, the irrepressibly cheerful blade whose inspirations have aided so many adventurers.
This will not pass!
"There will be a price to pay by whomever was responsible for this", she so swears to any god who cares to listen.

I know not what life is, nor death.
Year in year out-all but a dream.
Both Heaven and Hell are left behind;
I stand in the moonlit dawn,
Free from clouds of attachment.
