Can the greater Xorm be improved a bit ?

Unread post by Laenor »

I'm talking about the Neutral Gate Summon.
Honestly, it's bad :(

It has no DR, that means it dies FAST. Way too fast.
And it spends most of its time trying to knock down or casting bad spells.
I wish I was evil to summon Devils :(

The 3 creatures you can get out of gate are pretty much the same thing.
So you would get the same behavior out of the devil.

The devil has some dr, at least he can "tank" a bit.
The xorm dies way too fast unfortunately.

(And I'm not fighting epic foes, I'm talking against Ogres from the ogre cave. He's got trouble standing against two of them)

Are you talking about the default one that spawns from the OC?

Currently with the one we changed it to, I don't see any DR on it.

I wish my Xorm could cast the same kind of spells that angels do :D

yup. I'm not sure why knightmare didn't give it DR.
Maybe to compensate for the spells?

I'll add DR to the angel, devil, and xorn. But probably only 5. That's all the angel and xorn are supposed to get.

I'll look at the spells to.

Problem is, these creatures have low AC, and don't deal a lot of damage by themselves (their AB is not sky high, and they can't be buffed with Greater Magic Weapon because they have multiple weapons)

That means, they're pretty meaningless, except as meat shields.
(Maybe the angel doesn't have the same problem, since it has a blade)

I'll test the 3 summons IG with the help of a DM to compare them :)

It Works on natural Weapons. But only on the last one. That means it's mostly useless, and Angel / Devils get to be much more useful with their blades if buffed :o

Maybe it's the high price you pay for being neutral like the swiss... :P
