*A flyer is sent around the Baldurs Gate Area"

The Arcane Academy of Doron Amar is once again holding a Research competition. First prize will grant 20,000 Gold, with a second place prize of 10,000. This weeks topic will be Dragons!
Heres what i want you to do, pick one dragon type/color and research that Dragon. Then send a short essay to the Arcane Tower in Doron Amar where i will judge the two i like the most and announce the reward. There is no right or wrong in any essay, It can be facts, history, song, or poem.

///OOC note, i expect the info to be within your toons range of Rp. So you can use your high lore skill to find rare knowledge on the dragon. A high Intimidate to scare a Wizard into telling you. Or a Dragon hunter saying the best ways to kill one, as long as it fits your toons RP, use your imagination. You can Pm me your essays, there is no too long or too short.

*If asked, Rhys simply sighs and points out the last two very successful competitions hes run, or the Fact that the Arcane Academy is open to all races. He may also point out the competition has nothing to do with any of Doron Amars interests, but rather his own fancy and wish to push people to educate themselves.*

Rith sends her dragon essay off to Rhys, As Follows.

How to cook White dragons.
Dragon is easy to prepare and cook. It is best cooked from frozen as during the thawing process most of the moisture runs out decreasing the flavour. It should be cooked for two minutes on either side and then allowed to stand for a few minutes. It is best served just cooked (in red meat terms, medium rare). Remove excess fat after cooking. Do not use large number of ingredients (other than herbs or spices) - no more than three is recommended. If frying, always use butter or olive oil as they will not impart a flavour that is unique. Keep it plain and simple.

Some suggested marinades are: Any citrus (lime, mandarin, organe), Fruit chutneys (esp. mango), rosemary, garlic, basil, ginger, curry, chilli, salt & pepper.

Allow meat to rest before slicing to prevent moisture loss.

White Dragon with mango & basil sauce

10 oz white dragon meat cut into thin slices
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 oz basil leaves
1 oz parsley
1/4 oz garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon vinegar
3/4 a cup olive oil
1 mango, stone removed and peeled
salt & pepper to taste

Heat peanut oil in a pan, saute seasoned dragon pieces for about three minutes then set aside and keep warm. Blend basil, garlic, parsley, vinegar and olive oil in a food processor [Miniatureized blade golem in a glass globe...] or Morte and pestal if no blade golems are available.until smooth, set aside. Slice mango thinly and arrange on plate. Place dragon slices in the centre, drizzle basil sauce around the plate and garnish with fresh herbs.

So there you have it Rhys, my essay on dragons.
