Personal History

Mealir Ostirel was born in Baldur's gate in 1265 DR, son of Tyrenna El'Virion and Alrohir Ostirel, both of them half-elves.

During his childhood Baldur's Gate has only been the longer call in a constant trip that lead him from the communities of the south of the High Forest to the realm of Aglarond, as his parents visited their elven kin as often as possible.

These trips were mostly sailing trips, from Waterdeep to Baldur's Gate to Aglarond. Mealir's childhood was a happy one, the tales of his trips allowed him to fascinate humans and elves alike.

These sailing trips were the key to his happy childhood and he has prayed Valkur since he realized it, even if he also honore the Seldarine.

With the passing years Mealir began to travel alone, developing a passion for swords and ships he became a swashbuckler and a worthy sailor, refusing several times to be a lieutenant on ships. He served under many captains and with the time he learned to know a few discreet bays, shelters from the fury of Umberlee and the greed of the customs.

His wandering along the sword coast always lead to Baldur's Gate, and as his nomadic life doesn't earn him much money he can often be seen in the taverns at the docks where the owners hire his services. As his tongue and his music solve most of the situations he doesn't like the very sharp interventons of the Fist in the docks and wrote several sons about them.

His meeting in 1374 DR with another half-elf, Valefort Nildorel, will change his life and lead him to explore the sword coast, on foot this time.
