Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I'd like to start a census of Underdark Players to aid the Underdark DMs when running events and to see which factions we can breath a little more life into. This is completely voluntary and the list of characters and their factions won't be posted publicly.

Here are some of the factions in Sshamath to consider.

The Schools of Magic
- Note, simply being a wizard specialist is not the same as being a member of one of the schools. A member of one of these factions would be expected to devote a certain amount of their character's time and efforts towards their learning and their school's goals and this might preclude being able to serve in other guilds. In addition to wizards there are some non-casters in the schools who are hired as guards and servants that are able to act on their employer's behalf.

The Followers of Vhaerun
Vhaerun's clergy maintains a strong presence in the city. They operate out of the well defended Tower of the Masked Mage which hangs above the Darkwoods.

The Temple of Lolth
The Web of the Spider Queen is a cluster of stalacmites hanging far above the city where worship of the Spider Queen is still prevalent and Lolth's priestesses are still bowed to, though the Conclave is still the ultimate authority in matters.

The Temple of Eilistraee
The Darksong is a small, well hidden temple to Eilistraee situated in the grottos. Her presence in the city is small and the temple has had to weather several attacks from the followers of the other drow gods.

The Cult of Kiaransalee
Despite the attempts of the School of Necromancy to stamp out this cult, followers of the Revenancer have survived and managed to make their goddess's name known.

The Cult of Zinzerena
Very little is known about this secretive group, but whenever there is an unexplained murder it is often convenient to place blame on this cult or the cult of Shar, something which both goddesses are eager to be feared for and which many an aspiring Drow are quick to take advantage of in their schemes.

The Cult of Shar
The Whisperers are rumored to be assassins of the goddess of darkness who avenge those who have suffered great loss and have made an offering to the Dark Goddess.

Bregan D'earthe (Mercenary/Trade Guild)
- Player run, you will need their permission to consider yourself a member

Melee Magthere (Drow Warrior's School)

The Charnag Maelthra will be going live with the intro of beta9 and accepting applications for membership (read the req.s in the guilds section).

The Vhaeraunites are organized (or so I'm told) but you won't find one publicly copping to their faith so it would be unlikely to find one posting in this forum.

Same goes for Ellistreans (the worship of which is not openly approved of in the city).

Ya If your in a secret Church sect or secret guild faction posting that information may not be wise, although you could still perhaps post on your charaters ideals and what they wish to inspire to etc..

That's why I suggested pming that to me I'll post it on the dm forums for the UD dms to use

Notice in one of the pictures of the thread he linked that somebody seems to have been turned to stone prior to falling. Such a statue could have valuable information for one such as B'hindar should a stone to flesh spell be cast upon it.

Was trying that last night but no luck yet finding someone who could do that.

I just started on this server. I look forward to the challenge of roleplaying an evil male Drow.

Faction: Conclave, School of Necromancy
Goals: I started this guy as a student/acolyte of the school of Necromancy and currently I play him as a High Necromancer due to his high level (currently 26). His goals are to amass knowledge in that knowledge is power. So in order to become all powerful he requires much knowledge and therefore does alot of experimentation. With this power he looks to improve his stature in the school to a Master (at level 30) and if possible take the seat on the council from Tsabrak (I think I will have him NPCed eventually because we all know to have that seat would be too much power in one PC hands since the coucil rules Sshamath). His ultimate goal is to become a god, doing so by taking the seat, using those powers and resources to become a lich, to demi lich, and then to God.

It would be great if the DMs would help support the creation of the Conclave schools so I can get a desk and class room XD. I am currently relearning the toolset and am designing the school of Necromancy. Not sure if the Devs will like it but meh, someone has to do something.

Yep thats all he wants, like most evil wizards. Doesn't mean he will achieve that though, like most evil wizards don't.
