A priest in grey robes and a young woman with raven hair could be seen travelling on the road in the direction of Candlekeep. The woman would look increasingly upset as they neared the coast by the keep. Once there, they left to find a secluded area on the beach. While still clothed they would hold hands and wade out into the water and then under it, for a ritual or ceremony. They emerged a while later, dripping wet. After exchanging words and drying up through magic, they headed towards Candlekeep still holding hands. After a meal at the inn there, they journeyed back to Baldur's Gate.

The bloody corpse of an Aasimar was found just outside the Friendly Arms Inn as if deliberately planted to bring notice. Death by several puncture wounds and blood barely dried would suggest that it was recent. Ressurected by a Fire Genasi, eventually the Aasimar managed to get herself together well enough, if not for her strange fixation of a particular coin she tried to keep out of view.
Edit: The description of the Aasimar would fit Neio the druid.

An entourage of the Hellstorm crew were seen around the Friendly Arm Inn for a quick meal, before continuing on their journey South. They seemed prepared for a long journey.

Two odd-looking genasi preachers spoke at length about an ancient power slumbering in the depths, ready to embrace all who'd show him devotion. They spoke of the end and of Unity in devotion. Gathering a small group of interested travellers they then ventured north where they entered with a handful of seemingly somewhat interested folk, followed by a large group of seasoned adventurers. The adventurers left the cave. The pair of genasi didn't. Words were said about stopping a sacrifice of some sort and it would seem that adventurers won the day, with message of hidden knowledge and whispers of an ancient being from the depths remaining silenced forever.
