He isnt an exception from the rest of the members of his race, the arrogance is there, but so is the quietness. There is one distinguishable trait, it is that Lotrik is not the patient kind, and will probably charge his foe head on, rather than think about the wisest way to defeat it. His low wisdom got him in trouble when he was younger, however, he's slowly learning to avoid to fight creatures that would kill him. He has very little patience for long negotiations as well as any form of legal work that slow down his view of justice.

Background: Lotrik was raised by his single human father. He lived an unremarkable life, until he was sent to the closeby Red Knight Academy. The trainers were hoping that the patient and meticulous nature of the Genasi mixed in with its greater physical shapre would make him the ideal frontline tactician, able to quickly come up with new ways to defeat the enemy and fight with the comon soldiers.

It all went well, until the tactics part were taugh. The chaotic and unpatient nature of Lotrik father made the latter an oddity, he has no time to plan careful strategies or plan, he WILL charge head on. This mindset earned him a couple of victories where he was able to overhelm the enemy with his physical advantage, however a good tactician and fighter would be able to foresee most of his attacks.

So Lotrik left the Academy, after learning the art of fighting with a longsword, which quickly became his favorite weapon. He signed in the local guard, who were more than eager to accept him, thinking he was a disciple of the Red Knight. He was in fact, worshipping Garagos, who he considers to be the ultimate embodiment of his fighting style. That does not mean that Lotrik approves all the actions patron God.

One of the few event worth mentionning is that while leading a patrol agaisnt the local infestation of goblin and their grey orc leaders, he was stuck in a cavern along with the remains of his patrol, the orcs made some boulders fall and block the entrance of the cave, which was filled with the goblins. The patrol was able to slay most of them, they were however, slowing running out of food. They had to resort to eat goblins or their death, they chose the goblins. Lotrik and his men would go on a few day like that, until outside help came and removed the boulders. Since that day, Lotrik bears a strong hatred for the grey orcs and his stomach gets all turned around when he smells the burned flesh of goblins.

He left shortly afterward, having suffered a great number of wounds, including a broken leg after being nearly crushed by a trap set up by the goblins. This wound still hurt him during the time he spend in Baldur's Gate, reducing his mobility. He wandered a lot, where his arrogant and prideful nature lead him into many fights with strangers, as a result, his face is highly unpleasant to stare at.

Goals: Make his life as a great fighter, hoping to teach a few younger adventurers his skills at wielding a longsword. Lotrik's hoping to retire in a lonely retreat in some far away mountains, but this retreat is far.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: He bears a strong dislike towards arcane users, especially in combat, seeing as some of them tend to be careless with their magic, he do however, enjoy the company of anyone who can share a good and not get offend by his name calling. Tends to overestimate his physical abilities, even if they are quite high.
