The two farmers, husband and wife were happy to be home, slumping down in a pair of chairs near their well worn dinner table "I can't believe we survived that...it was all thanks to those Radiant Heart knights, and their hero adventurers...I wish there was some way we could repay them for saving us" The man said as he looked warily at his wife, a kind smile on his lips. It was then that they heard a knocking at the door "I wonder who that could be?" Asked the farmers wife as she pushed herself up, slumping over toward the door. She opens it wide, the light from the lamp situated near the door shinning down on a man at the doorway. His head turns up to her with a smile "Hello there miss...Do you know who I am?" A wide smile brims her lips "Why you are one of those heroes who rescued us! Please come in..." She steps aside a moment. The man smiles, pushing his hood back from his head. "You don't mind do you, if my companion joins me?" She shakes her head as the man enters, another man in tow behind him carrying a backpack filled with arcane tools and runes of various kinds.

She closes the door behind her, her smile beaming. The farmer comes to join his wife "Who is it?- Oh my word, it's you! Welcome to our home!" He shares his wifes kind and welcoming smile. The man smiles back "I was wondering, if there was something I could ask the two of you?" He says, followed by a heavy cough into one sleeve. "Anything" Is the farmers response. "Good, I was hoping you would say that..." Were the last words that the farmer and his wife ever heard, as the second man lunges forward from the shadows, striking the two of them on their heads, knocking them out cold.

"Huh...I wonder why nobody is tending the field today? It's been days since that old farmer and his wife worked their field" The fist mercenary says to his copanion in arms, reaching the house door. He knocks loudly "Hello, are you two alright? Hello?" No answer. The two look at each other again, one turning the latch on the door. "Huh, not locked." The door slides open easily.

The mercenary enters the house, turning to go to the dining area. With a loud clang, his halberd drops to the ground, his eyes widen as the horrific scene sets in on his mind. There lay the remains of what appear to be two people. Their limbs ripped from their bodies and strewn out in a symmetrical formation around their torsos', their heads sitting, lifeless eyes staring outwords toward the mercenary. On each of their foreheads is carved a bizarre symbol littered with some kind of symbolic writing the offer cannot understand. Gore and dried blood lays in splatter formations across the walls and cealing. Upon the floor, is a massive circle, within it is hundreds of symbols and smaller circles, in its center where the remains lay it is oddly clear of any blood.

The mercenary takes a slow step forward, his mind twisting and reeling at the sight. Just that one step was enough as he hits a sudden burst of cold air, like the remnant of something profound that is no longer present. In all his day's he'd never seen anything quite like this. His companion then steps into the room, a similar reaction ensues. "W-w-we need to get the captain! Immediately!" Slowly they both step back, then run as fast as their terrified legs can carry them toward the fist headquarters to make the report of their horrific findings.
