Terayz storys and tales to tell

Our journey begins with a man named Cidius, who began asking in help to the nearby adventurers at the Friendly Arm Inn. Upon my arrival, I enter and find myself in the company of nearly two dozen adventuers, all in seek for his proposal including myself of course. It was quite a large crowd i must say one of the largest yet to be pulled for a single task....After quieting the group down he began to speak of the task he had at hand, for what he offered was nothing for us to expect, or at least not to me.

Cidius the man, began to tell of a man he wished us to seek out, for several thousand coins in reward to all who complete the deed. What he asked for you say? Well for the death of some pirates and or bandits, and some information you see. Two thousand for the killing, two thousand for the information. Not a small amount of change for someone as poor as me. All he knew and what he told was the man was a blonde, small, a human, and a merchant. Wasn't much to go off of at all...As he told us the risks and dangers to come, the group set out to Baldur's Gate....Soon after we arrived later at the docks, and met with the ferryman, who seemed to be the informant to our job. As time passed and the discussion closed, the group began to split in search of the pirates or bandits and for the information on the blonde merchant...

Time flew quick as night fell already, and as i wandered I saw many of the men and woman of the party surrounding a minstrel, threatening and initimidating him to no bounds he became quite shaken up unable to even speak at all... Soon after me and Tindol manage to calm him down a bit and with the help of the man in blue we were able to deduct that a few were seen going in and out of the Helm and Cloak, which lead us to the next place to search. As most the group heads out towards the inn, the few of us with minstrel still were ambushed by several of the bandit thugs....after the fight and managing to keep the minstrel alive, we all moved towards to the tavern.

Soon we all arrived at the Helm and Cloak, upon enterting the group is scattered abouts a few drinking others merely talking. The man in Blue and Tindol were already at the barstool speaking to the barkeep, and as i joined listening to the two swaying him with their words, the three of us and a combantant with a large tower shield moved up towards the upstairs of the inn...

After a long discussion, he informed us on a few things. One was that a pirate captain and several of his men were located at this tavern three days prior to our visit. Secondly was that they were supposely gathering forces south of the bridge of the gates at a location known as the Bandit Caves, and lastly, the man in blonde hair who we searched for, was working on the day a cargo shipment was lost at the docks but as well as he was working with the league of merchants. After reassuring the safety of the Barkeep we came down to discuss with the rest of the group, the matter at hand and what choices we could take....

The decision was to head towards the caves to what some were calling the source of the problem... i thought it would of been wiser to go to see of the merchant's with the league but a majority viewed the caves more important....

Upon our travel we all arrived at the bandit caves. Inside were few members of the bandits...scattered around in the caverns mostly dressed in tattered clothes and most being very poorly armed. after scowering the caves nothing was to be found...but, upon our way back out to the light, several of our members were jumped by the returning bandit party killing two of the dwarves and a oldy skinned man...Soon after it became an all out war in the caves between the company and the bandits, and after a vicious battle we merged victorious managing to snag a bandit prisoner in the process...

After tieing the captive, the group began to act, quickly intimitated the poor man as soon he was cornered by the adventurers...Quickly breaking he spilled the beans, and from what he knew, we quickly learned that they were in search of a man named "Terethon" how supposely had redish brown hair. Other then that fact the bandit was hired by some thieves paying him fifty coins to we learned nothing else. Perhaps the thieves would know more if we could find who hired them such.

A few moments after interagating the bandit, one of the men in the company quickly smashed the bandit to pieces in a manner of horror with left many of the members in complete dispute of his actions. Leaving the caves in spite of each other they were only to be waylaid by a few kobolds.....

In the end.. we all scampered are way back to the inn, seperated from each other, only five members of the large company seemed to of made it back to the inn alive; a dwarf, Tindol, the man in blue, another bard, and myself. As we all headed to the inn we shared what information we could with the man who hired us... though not as informative as we could of hoped for, it was the best we manage to do... hopefully this would lead him to something, to a more exciting story for me to tell maybe even.

Another tale to be told here it begins, for this one has three other great adventurers discluding me their names were.... Jo'dan..Khael... and Piri

We were all at the campfire with several others talking, discussing what good things have happened to them throughout this day. When suddenly scampering through the woods came a small dragon. It ran around and then quickly back into the cloakwoods from where it came. Curious as I was i followed the little fella down into the woods with Jo'dan, Khael, and Piri along for the run. As we chased it through the woods it finally stopped to ask for help, for its master was in need and was in quite some danger... Agreeing to follow, we began our trip deeper into the woods. Jod'an leading the way, showed his grace and prowess in battle slaying Monsterous spiders left and right on our way towards where the dracoling lead.

We all Traveled long and tiringly through the woods for hours reaching the heart, where we finally reach our destination, as the dragon skitters and goes completely silent... Spiders are Everywhere! And My, when i meant everywheres i quite mean, everywheres! as we finally realised what situation we were in, the dracoling was no where to be seen. Quietly we tried to stand, but foruntely it was to late...

They Strike!! More then we could imagine, there legs were everywheres biting and striking in all directions! Mrs Piri was knocked down by the spiders fierce attack, while Khael and Jo'dan fought onwards as i played and mended as what i could do! If it wasn't for these two our troupe would of no doublly crumbed i thank the lady luck for bringing two strong willed fighters with us.

Soon after a long ferious battle Piri managed to recover to her feet and soon enough all the spiders were slain and we were "safe" for the moment... as we took a moment to catch our breath. We began to move onward slightly, following what path we could through the swamp infested land, only to be hindered by the thick webs of the spiders. As the three were about to strike the web asunder Jod'ans sword was caught stuck in the mesh when two spiders Leaped out to suprise the party!!! Luckily for us we were somewhat prepared and the two eight legged creatures fell quickly to the strength of our group....

Pulling his sword out with his ferious strength, we decided to throw some alchemist fire to burn the web in our way, and then began again moving onward. Suddenly the dracoling reappeares swopping in saying, "Go Left then Right and beyond and below in the middle we will find his master," aggreeingly we decided to listen to its words and began to follow its course as it flys off once again only to be waylaid by some reptiles with a fearsome power...

Basilisks!! at least a dozen maybe two! They came charging out are group as quickly as we could get ready and with a mighty swing Jo'dan Strikes down the first two without a glance or sign to be tricked, for the power of these beasts is their gaze to stone you to death in a single wink! Khael swings mightly slaying the creatures and Piri stabs into the eye of one of the Basilisks! The group quickly gutted the monsters leaving only their remains for the bugs to eat... again we pressed forward....

After this we took the right as the dracoling said only to notice the Huge, enormous, giant spider!!! that was across the swamp waters. With her sharp eyes, Piri noticed several statues below the eight legged freak of a spider, and a long with that, a snake headed women one who was to be feared by many.

Yes a Medusa! the woman who has the power to petrify a man with a single glance, a very fearsome creature at that. Seeing nothing else around the group concluded that perhaps below meant below the spider, the adventurers travel'd gulping preparing to engage the creatures...

The women strokes her statues enjoying them with a smile, when she notices us she hisses, sending her great beast upon us! Jo'dan, Pipi and Khael charge the beast as i tempted to distract the Medusa with a mesmerising spell. When nothing seem to work all hope seemed lost, till in a graceful swoop the dracoling came down grabbing the medusa's medallion from around her neck. Suddenly and soon after, scars and wounds could be see, the scales of the creatures became soft, and the trio began cutting down all before them and by the time noticed, it was done, done by a vicious blow from Khael!

Victorious we were defeating the monsters we placed the medallion on the dracolings master as the stone dissolved and she returned to normal.

Exhausted from it all we spoke to its master, seems she was exploring for missing reports of people that have gone through these parts... and being surrounded my others who were in their statue state, we were able to determine what happened and their fates... though something felt off and the medallion was familiar as i closely examined i realised it was an illusionary field it created, realising this i pointed it out, but to late as the Medusa was there and its creature was to turning the mighty Jo'dan into stone.

With our powerful leader frozen in stone, it felt hopeless in the fight, against the two monsterous foes "again" i surely lost sight... but with a quick move from Khael he grabbed the amulet with a solid right! smashing it to pieces freeing Jod'an from her enchantment's clutch! Quickly recovering and noticed what happened, Jo'dan charged the creatures and soon after they both fell once again.. fortunely for me the spider's poison was strong but thanks to Piri I'm alive and well to tell this tale.... and many more to come!
