Race: Aasimar.
Class/Build: Monk/Favored Soul/Sacred Fist of Sharess.
Alignment: Lawful Good. Although a lecher, and a bit of drunk and a lecher of the worst degree, Hung always fights for what is right and to protect others.
Hung Wei-Lo is a traveling monk from the distant lands of Kara-tur. Born to a small fishing village in the Shuyin Province, he left his family at a very young age to join the local Monastary, to learn the secrets of the Kung-Fu.
After many years of rigorous study, and working as a Beer Brewer to help raise money for the monastery, Hung was kicked out after sampling several pints of his own product and a wild drunken night with a local farmer's daughter. Banished from his land for dishonoring his order, he caught a ride on one of the many trade caravans that travels from Kara-tur through the Dragon Gates into Faerun, eventually finding his way to Baldur's gate.
Finding a local temple, he begged to be allowed to sleep under their roof during a stormy night. As he opened the door, he saw, to the relatively innocent minded Wei-Lo, a scene of great debauchery. Women running around nude, men indulging in fine wines. He had stumbled into a Sharessian Fest Hall. Immediately turning beet red, Wei-Lo turned from the sight, but was welcomed by the High Priestess to join them. When she asked him his name, he responded honestly:
"Hung Wei-Lo."
The Priestess, of course, thought he was joking. When she asked for his real name again, he responed truthfully.
"Hung Wei-Lo!"
The Priestess believed that destiny had delivered him to her...and that Sharess truly did have a sense of humor after all. She invited Wei-Lo to live with them at the Temple, where he would be indoctrinated into the faith of Sharess. He readily accepted, having nowhere else to go.
For the first time in his life, he was not shunned for his hedonistic behavior. He was praised for it. Altering his martial arts style to incorporate Suikoden, Drunken Boxing, Wei-Lo quickly became a Monk of Sharess' order, whose favored weapon was the unarmed strike. He also joined her Clergy, taking the mantle of Cleric.
Wei-Lo sought to take the teachings of Sharess unto the common people, to teach all the blessings of indulgence.
And so his journey begins....
