Background:
Alison hails from Deepingdale, from a small town called Hallow Creek which is situated at the riverhead of the Deeping River. At the age of 13, she was apprenticed to the half-elven bard, Vanadia Robinsdottir, and she spent her teenage years traveling all over the Dales and sometimes into nearby kingdoms. After her apprenticeship, she spent a year traveling by herself, staying mostly to the Dalelands. She arrived on the Sword Coast in the spring of 1345 at the age of 19.

Alison is a long-time member of the Performer's Guild, and was briefly the Director before appointing Mia Desdemona to take her place. In the past she has been an Avowed of Candlekeep, and a member of the Wardens of Beregost. She has a long history as a vocal critic of the Flaming Fist Mercenary company and their policy of antagonism toward adventurers. Alison is one of the few remaining vetarans of the siege of the Bhaalist temple that stood at the site where the Friendly Arm Inn now stands.

Alison is married to Aearion Cauwaithon. In the summer of 1346, Aearion and Alison left the coast for an "extended honeymoon" of travel and adventure. They have recently returned to the coast and appear to be here to stay, at least for the time being.

Goals:
Alison's goal is to protect the innocent, helpless, and powerless. Fighting Evil is sometimes necessary, but secondary to the protection of the innocent. Her secondary goal is to remind those in power that they are still mortal, and that they should use their power to further the common good, and not for self-aggrandizement.

3. Despite her frivolous nature, she is a master of lore, and is always interested in ancient tomes, artifacts, and stories.
4. Alison has a overwhelming soft-spot for the underdog, and she often will defend those who are being antagonized and outnumbered. . . even if they deserve it.
5. Often uses the moniker "the Harlequin" when introducing herself, especially during performances.
6. Because she is interested in people, and asks lots of questions, people sometimes assume she is up to something.
