"Bah! This be me third tavern in yer town, an' ain't one o' ye gots a bar short enough fer a stout folk ta be seein over!" Mumbles could be heard as the dwarf elbowed his way up to the bar, and hopped onto a small crate so that he could see Lady Alyth, the Elfsong's proprietor. "Whatcha got fer drinkin lass?" He snorted, and before she could answer, he was already talking again. "Never ye mind tha drink," he patted the side of his pack, where a huge bladder of liquid was hanging, "I brought me own! I'd be havin me some meat though don't ye doubt. Gonna find meself a table while itsa cookin." With that, the dwarf threw a heavy pouch of coins on the bar, hopped down, and found himself a table nearly in the middle of the place.
The cook was looking to Alyth as if asking what to do. "A platter of boar and beef for the dwarf chef." The Lady smiled a bit as she watched the surly dwarf find his seat, and whispered under her breath, "Dwarven charm, this will be an interesting night."
"I ain't fer drinkin alone now!" Ovoril almost shouted as he pulled a huge mug out of his pack and began to fill it. "Yer all lookin a bit stiff fer bein in yer cups!"
As the evening wore on, and the crowd became thick in the place, the dwarf's table filled too with people laughing, and drinking along with him. Even those that were not near could hear the conversations, as the boisterous dwarf was loud enough for all.
