The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
A slender and feeble looking old man in a black hood, his back bent from age, walks with a cain decrying what sounds like nonsense but seems to be drawing an ever larger crowd. His voice is tinged with an accent of the Moonshae's and he walks with a wolf upon his side gnawing ceaselessly on a bone. He is heard to say:
"Aye maties, I be tellin ye der be's trouble brewin pon' dat ship the Hellstrom. I've heard dey's have a new member tha no be tha breathin kind. Since her arrival many strange tings been happenin' round da shore. Some say dey be seein more corpses risin' from tha murky depths and walkin' among the crew. Others, dey been seein' masts come undone, fire from powder kegs lit aflame blastin' and killin dose' unfortunate.
I be tellin ye all now, don't be goin near dem. Dey be cursed by the one they brought onboard, and now dis evil be comin home to roost. Nay trust tha lot, fer they may bring the end to us all here!!!"
The crowd grows ever larger and they all turn to look at the Hellstrom.

...As the crowd looks at them the Hellstorm crew's captain and quite good amount of his men push through the people mass "Who speaks ill of me and my humble men!? Step up and face us!" He looks furiously around, touching the cutlass's handle. "If ye see any bilge rat spreading this false word come to me, Brethren! I don't like undeads any more than ye do. If somebody says otherwise he is a lier! And I reward the humble sailors who are fair and follow the code."

Re: The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
Across now from the docks, a hundred meters or more, a stand the old man upon the cliffs overhead. His wolf still gnawing upon the same bone, he listens to tumult of the crowd as Kalma and his thugs rush through. He begins to cackle, and with a voice seemingly enhanced with the sound of the wind he suddenly booms:
"Aye, ere' be's the man of tha hour!!! Ye may be done wit tha dead Capn', but dese' not be done with you!"
The old man begins to laugh a curdling sound. Then suddenly stands straight and points down below with what once was a cain now turned staff. His face barely visible, is as black as the hood and cloak he wears.
"All ye ere' bare witness o' tha one who will bring ye death and let no man ere' claim he not been warned when tha one's around him begin der' sufferin." " Ye wish ta fear his sword, then fear ye souls demise instead!!!
The wolf finally looks up fangs bared and snarling.
"Tis yer' choice, be not wise and we'll be seein' ye on tha otherside."
With that he snaps the staff up above his head, muttering a few words in a foreign tongue he smashes it down upon the rock. There is a flash, he and the wolf disappear before the crowds very eyes.

"...Some blasted wizard. Brethren ye all saw how it vanished?! It is a God damned man without spine; Mage! Can't even face me and come to my sword reach. 10 000 gold pieces for his head!" Kalma spits, looks the sailors around and walks slowly away. He even whistles a merry tune as he makes his way up to the Broken Goblet

Re: The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
As the captain walks alone up the path toward the goblit, a wall of fire erupts before him. As he begins to react, a second wall of fire erupts behind him blocking his path. A form can briefly be seen passing as shadow through the flame, then dissapears once more.
The voice of the mage now whispers into Kalma's ear, it is more distinct and vibrant than before, not the voice of an elderly man, but an elf instead speaking in his native tongue.
"Too long have you plagued my people captain, but this will soon be at an end. Great malodies will be brought to bare on those who continue to support you. You shall see them turn as quickly upon you in your time of weakness, as they do others."
The whisper moves from one ear slowly behind to the other.
"You shall die alone Kalma and you will have an eternity to ponder the events that led to your demise."
Without another sound a burst of wind blows the fire out from the cliff face and all is as it was before.
// If you possess the lore to understand elven, you may RP it as such, but if not RP otherwise

Vane looks at the ordeal and looks at the situation amazed. He's wondering on how the elf is able to whisper things in the Captains ears without getting stabbed and gutted, because he knows the Captain could easily just leap over the walls of fire. He's furthermore even more impressed on the fact that none of the other pirates or guards react in any way, because normally someone casting walls of fire would be punched unconscious and taken to the High Captains. He opens up a bottle of Blood Wine, grabs a swig and mutters;
Blasted Knife-Ears...

// To answer Gareut's question: yes this is a pc:)
The IC: a Mage may cast wall of fire and gust of wind on area and stay invisible.
He has, with item bonus:
Hide=60
Move Silent= 52
So, if Kalma has see invisibility and can detect these stats then the latest post will be amended, but if not then please let us RP as an ongoing event and have fun with it, thank you

Re: The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
//Does it matter what Kalma has when there are NPCs? And yeah... He might be able to spot through all that. And yes, Kalma speaks actually quite good elven. Reason you can find out in game. Next words are common, naturally: ///
As the first spells are casted the outlaw Captain pulls his blades free, quickly moving off from the cliff's edge. Kalma mutters prays and wards himself with powers granted by the Queen of the Depths. He Stays put, waiting that his crew men, locals and enforcers do the killing for him. As something starts whispering to his ear Kalma makes few test swings with his heavily enchanted cuttlass, making sure that nothing is close him.
"Oh? Don't be so harsh! Yer sister and mother love me! Maybe I could teach ye few tricks, Knife-Ear.. The screams of joy, death. Who cares? It is such a wonderful noice anyways, ye blasted treehugger."
As the voice moves Kalma triggers one of the magical trinkets at his belt, surrounding himself and near by area with acid fog.
"...Ye keep breathing this, damned mage! Who's to say I won't live forever? But, ye know what? It's a pirate's life for me, savvy?"
Later that day Kalma personally makes the hanging knot ready.

Morticia chances upon the scene, sees the hidden knife-ear and casts invisibility purge on him/her/it so that all may see the hidden mage.
She looks up at the gallows and laughs. "A fresh new corpse," she thinks to herself.
// and yes you are god-moding this whole encounter so far without any respect for the npcs or crew member's abilities.

Re: The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
// Well, just as I was about to say bravo, well done to Gareut... even still his post was well done RP;)
Now, that being said it is no wish of mine to grief Gareut, nor anyone else. The allegation of god modding is a bit drastic, but I will abide by the feelings of those involved.
Let me attempt to clear the good Badomen name here:
None of Gareaut's actions or expressions have been written in script, in fact he has been doing quite admirably in reply;)
In script the captain had walked from the crowd alone and without company, as scripted by Gareut, this allowed for exclusion of direct pc, and npc interference.
I'm sure Gareut can hop, and jump the fire but then there would be no RP:(
Futhermore, let's try and refrain from retroactive actions taken from pc's not previously included in the script. Gottemoeder was did well in his response and raised good questions but Morticia's sudden appearance from no where?
Finally, this topic is now concluded and will be followed with in game RP. Gareut, I salute you and look forward to RPing with you.
See you around//

Re: The Dead Lurk Pon' the Shore; The Hellstrom Has New Crew
Right refrain from actions not included in script. So ignoring anyone that might have reason to be on the Shore with the Captain, because it doesn't suit your god-moding? Where did you come from if it wasn't from 'no where' to begin with? Seriously, what you want the privilege to start this off, but not afford it to others because it doesn't suit your RP?BadOmens wrote:

I said from the start this RP is poor form - and you started it with faked images and other nonsense, and what a surprise when you get your invis removed and it's suddenly over.
Well played, Sir.

// Ok, Krazy I don't where you came from, or why you feel the need to impose yourself but please allow Gareut to dictate this course, he is your captain after all and if you don't like the direction of the RP you don't need be involved.
Gareut please PM me with the answer as to if you would like to proceed IG, thank you and sorry for any disturbance.
