Althea goes to the temple oftyr, and leave a note for sir haeman and lady agenlina, for when they return this way
Honored knights, I know you have long said we will remain neutral in the war. I beg you to reconsider. here is why.
They have not forbidden you to stay here, and this is your home as much as it now is mine. I would beseech you, by the words of saint Meri of Ilmater, do not despise the place that has taken you in , or allowed you to stay. I know you could go. But this is my home. And it is yours. we should be defending it. There are many who will not be able to. and it is not wrong to fight for them, I believe.
That's my request. let me know , if this is going to cause a issue. I intend to defend my home.. I think it will do the order good, if we do so as an order. I am hoping you will agree.
Althea of ilmater, humble squire in the order of the Silver Rose.
She checks back each day until they reply.

*Angelina receives the note immediately and reads it with a look of caring on her face. She then shows it to the Knight Generals...Sir Haeman and Lady Elvina. After Reading it Sir Haeman calls a meeting of all the Order of the Silver Rose members to discuss the dire situation. Angelina then sits down to write her reply...*
Dearest squire Althea,
It seems there may be somewhat of a missunderstanding. Please remember our Mission no matter where we are or reside ... "To protect the goodly people against influence and agents of vile darkness, and to ensure peace and permanence for the triumph of the Greater Good."
While we all agreed to Protect, aid and heal the innocent people in this time of impending war, it does not mean we will not fight to do it. It seems we have been too spread out accross the lands helping and aiding the goodly people and Sir Haeman feels it is time to hold a meeting to discuss this dire situation as soon as possible.
Please let me know what time is good for you?
Sincerely,
Lady Angelina
Knight Warrant of the Order of the Silver Rose
* A copy of Althea's Letter and the return Letter is distributed to the Commander William Sunblade, all the Order's Knights and Squires in the Sword Coast region. *
\\ ooc please post when a good time is to gather for a meeting.. ie: 7-9pm eastern Friday is good for me and Haeman .. etc.

*Haeman sits down after a long day. Frowning and with sadness in his heart he begins to write a private letter to Commander William Sunblade.
This private letter contains the events of the evening, from finding and speaking to Althea, gaining an audience with Saint Merielle, Althea’s outburst, the meeting itself including Thedran and Lance, the lies or misunderstandings in the meeting, to the insult thrown at the Order of the Silver Rose members at the end of the meeting. It states how the original purpose of the meeting was to ask Saint Merielle to help the Order of the Silver Rose gain an audience with the Dukes, which was Althea’s reason for going to Saint Merielle. The letter goes on to state how ultimately assistance was not gained. Further in the letter it goes on to speak of Althea's request to pick a side in a war that outsiders are trying to start instead of trying to prevent a war. Finally the letter details how those that were met were perceived, and how Althea’s words to them and their own may have permanently driven a wedge between the two Orders.
Later as he sends the letter off by armored carrier he considers Lady Angelina’s wise words spoken to those they met about the lie told and assumptions, "If you do not have proof then let this be a lesson to you”.*

*Lady Angelina sits down to write with a heavy sigh after reading the response from the Commander, Sir William Sunblade.*
Dear Miss Althea,
It is with a heavy heart I write to inform you that it would be best for you to part ways from the Order. I now understand why you said that you were sorry you caused us so much pain. Sir Lance informed us last night in the meeting with Saint Meri and Thedran that you were spreading untruths regarding our intentions towards the Order of the Radiant Heart. Specifically that we do not trust them. This could not be further from the truth, as you were told infront of them all in the tavern last night, by myself, just prior to you storming out. I can only hope this will not cause a permanant rift between our two holy Orders.
Our original intentions of asking Saint Meri to help us gain an audience with the Dukes, at your suggestion, was ultimately unsuccessful as well, but we now know our concerns regarding this impending war are not unfounded and agreed upon by the Order of the Radiant Heart and Saint Meri herself.
As always we wish you the best and hope you work out this internal struggle that you're in and find your true path in life. I would like very much if we could remain friends as we still care for you and about you. Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with in the future.
Sincerely,
Lady Angelina
Knight Warant of the Order of the Silver Rose

She responds
Lady angelina;
I will say this once, and its hard to do because I have no idea how to do it without pain. You wound me , by saying I am a liar, and spreading lies. You do not trust the radiant heart.Honestly its not my way to continue a fight to long.I stand by what I said that night.
If you refuse to talk to the leader of the radiant heart, insist you will only talk to the saint, You say to me you do NOT trust them. If you almost walk out, when you are finally faced with the saint, because a goodly paladin and her protectors refuse to let her meet alone with strangers, and only do after I walk out on you a second time, that is not trusting them, or wanting to work with them
.My price to stay with you was for you to trust the godly people here enough to share information, as your code demands. It is not something you should be bullied to do,the following of your code. When sir haeman was ready to leave because they would not leave her alone, you failed MY test of you.
I have contention with you, to be clear, based on this fact. You your code says you share information with brothers. But when it came time to do so, you did not want to. You refused to share even one thing with the order, for fear the information may be compromised. The radiant heart serves the same gods the Order of the Silverrose does. They want this war not to happen too.
Secondly, you know yourself that baldurs gate is a small city state. Compared to amn, it is like a orc and a hin fighting. If you think it is wrong to firmly proclaim you will defend the weaker of the two, should the bigger and stronger actually attack..then yes, we have a problem.. I joined you because I thought your code was the way you lived. I expected you to actually follow it.
I am at fault in general for expecting more than I should have from you, for mens organizations tend to make mistakes. This will become faded past, and in that time, I am sure we can work together. But until then, yes, I agree, it is definitely best we part. Mercy keep you.
Althea of Ilmater
ps.- besides, being a squire made the introduction a a bit long.

*Haeman writes in the patrol log used by all Knights and Squires to detail events of note while they travel the lands.*
Patrol Log 134523
Today I traveled from the Friendly Arms Inn, to the Cloakwood, up to Baldur's Gate and into the Fields of the Dead.
Friendly Arms Inn- I saw miss Althea standing by the fire as has often been seen, but I decided with the recent events it may be best to give her some space so I continued on into the Cloakwood.
Cloakwood- As always a group within the Cloakwood was attempting to head into the mines to help gather Ore for mr. Otto Goldstein. Such a nice thing for people to do, helping others. I gave them the blessings of Lathander to help them on their way and to keep them safe.
Trade Way- nothing unusualy to report
Baldur's gate bridge and farmland- Other then the bridge being out of commision still, nothing unusual to report. The ferryman seem to be very happy with their job. I tipped them an extra 100 gold and asked them to allow the next five people to pass for free.
Farmlands- I met a kind man who is a traveling bard. He wished to travel with me as I went on patrol so we headed into the cemetery. He was a delightful person and I enjoyed his singing.
Cemetery- Upon entering the undead were thick. I do not know why this place has not been cleansed yet, but I continue to come here to see what can be done. Others come here too in order to test their skills. I find many get hurt and I try to be here often to help them. I met two men who asked if I could get them a sling from town. They told my companion of a man to the north and he ran out of the cemetery. This concerned me because I felt he may have missunderstood the directions so I quickly followed after giving the blessings of Lathander upon those within the cemetery. In the hurry to help my bardic friend i forgot the sling so went back to town to get it and came back and delivered it.
Fields of the Dead- It seems my bardic companion was much faster then I in my full plate. I entered the fields of the dead only to find him laying face down upon the grass. I had to turn a handful of undead and lay them to rest as I lifted the man's body and took it to the safety of the barricade and the Fist guards. Thankfully he heard Lathander's call and his soul returned to his body. He was very appreciative but I made sure he knew it was not his fault but mine for not being fast enough. When he was ready to walk I took him back to the cemetery and helped all in attendance with Lathander's blessing and headed out back down the road south to the Friendly Arms Inn.

*Angelina reads her response with sadness and careing then sits down to write again*
Dearest Althea,
I'm very very sorry you are so misguided, even after we have explained to you in person our intentions clearly. I cannot understand why you would disregard all of the talks we have had. I can only think that either we have failed in teaching you or this is now an attempt to sabbatoge the good name of the Order thereby causeing us more undue pain in the process. If it is the latter and / or you are being coherced into this behavior, which is the only thing I can deduce as a priestess of Ilmatter would never stoop so low, please come to us and we will help you through this.
I feel I should once again explain to you the code we have sworn to and the Paladin's Code that I am. The code is non-negotiable, should I or the others disobey or fail in these Virtues, our God would forsake us of all the blessings and abilities they afford us. Allow me to quote the Virtue of Honesty:
A Paladin always tells the truth as he knows it. He may choose to remain silent, but will never intentionally mislead or misguide anyone, even enemies. A Paladin's promises will always be kept. No Paladin will cheat or use poison. A Paladin must also share knowledge. A Paladin is just and fair, acting always with honor.
No Paladin defies the code, for no Paladin can exist without the code. It is the heart and mind of a Paladin. It is a guide toward goodness. It is the cornerstone of a Paladin's life. A Paladin does not follow the code.. a Paladin IS the code...
So you see, we do not have the "option" of following it or not.
With that said, we told you when you asked the first time our reasons for wishing an audience only with the Dukes first to bring them the sensitive information we were presented with. It was at YOUR insistance we speak to Saint Meri because she was the only one who could help us gain an audience with the Dukes. You then insisted that Lance of the Radiant Heart was the only one who could help us gain an audience with Saint Meri...Why you wished to endanger more people with this sensitive information was worrysome to me, but I trusted you on your word ...... Then in the tavern when I said clearly to you before you stormed out, it was NOT them we did not trust as you had said but the other numerous patrons in the Public tavern as I looked around the room..... you completely ignored me and yelled the defaming remarks and stormed out.. Even Thedran backed up my words after you left and we all agreed to go upstairs in a private room... Taking Care to not endanger the commoners or ourselves. This in no way shows we do not trust the Radiant Heart or any other Goodly organization and you were told that then as well.. At No time did we ever say these vile words. And we have explained this as well to the Radiant Heart, infront of Saint Meri in our private meeting, when they told us You were the one spreading these heinous untruths. In my heart of hearts I hope this to be a case of simple missunderstanding on your part. If that is the case a simple I'm sorry and recanting of your words would suffice to regain your honor.
We have also explained our intentions to the Radiant Heart and Saint Meri regarding this impending war, as we have explained to you. We shall continue to protect and defend the innocent people of these lands no matter if they are in a little town or a Huge metropolis. I'm sorry if that is not the war mongering attitude you were looking for, but this is our way and our Mission is clear:
To defend the goodly people against influence and agents of vile Darkness, and to ensure Peace and permanence for the triumph of the greater good.
Sincerely,
Lady Angelina
Holy Warrior of Tyr and Knight of the Silver Rose

Not wanting to further this, she throws the unopened sealed letter away.
'It is time to move on, let let the healing begin.' she says more to herself than to any who might here her.

*Lady Angelina writes in the patrol log used by all Knights and Squires to detail events of note while they travel the lands.*
The Long Journey: Today I traveled from the farmlands of Baldur's Gate to Beregost and back offering aid to all who needed it and asking if they would like an escort to and from Beregost since the roads are riddled with danger.
The journey began with just myself and an honorable dwarft named Uri. We traversed the roads to the Friendly Arm Inn gathering all who wished aid. There we met up with "Bob" (karl) our Honorary Guardian, and he protected and defended our group as well. A very nice elf named Celduil and Mealir the merchant was nice enough to offer their help and protection too. We ended up with a party of about 10 people as we fought our way down the treacherous roads South to Beregost.
The return trip was even worse as we were ambushed on the roads by Warg Riders, Bandits and even Dopplegangers! But all made it safely back to the Friendly Arm Inn with minimal injury as I healed along the way.
I shall rest and pray at the temple for a bit then set out once again looking for those in need.
Lady Angelina,

With the current crisis that have befallen the dwarves, the Order of the Silver Rose travel to Doron Amar to offer their aid in healing and the Order's assistance in retaking and rebuilding Ironfaar stronghold. They help heal those they can and tend to those whose spirits are sullied.

Patrol Log 134525
Today I traveled From the Friendly Arms Inn, to the Fields of the Dead then down to the Tradeway, and back up to Baldur's Gate.
Friendly Arms Inn- Nothing unusual to report.
Farmlands- nothing unusual to report.
Fields of the Dead- I destroyed all the undead I found in this area and the area to the north.
Fields of the Dead Tomb - Here I met Marion Wolfswift and after our greetings we decided to travel together to rid the tombs of the undead and the vile priests within. I was amazed at his swordsmanship as we battled inward. I beleive he is a fine Paladin and will help aid alot of people in this region. I look forward to working with him again as will the Order of the Silver Rose.
Tradeway - Here I was blessed with meeting up with Lady Angelina as she was heading to Baldur's Gate. I asked if I could excort her though she can certainly handle herself in battle, yet she agreed. We traveled to the destroyed bridge.
Baldur's Gate Bridge - Here Lady Angelina and I met a very nice lady who asked us if were were going to help rebuild the bridge. We of course aid we and the Order would help in any way possible. Be it laying bricks with our own hands, or bringing water to the thirsty workers. After a Ferry ride we also met a halfling named Frog. After a very pleasant conversation we said our goodbyes and he spoke a blessing to us which trouble both Lady Angelina and myself. He spoke of Mask and secrets. It troubled us and should bare caution when encountering him.
Baldur's Gate - We helped the local merchants and anyone else we could until it grew late and Lady Angelina and I retired to the temple of Tyr.

Patrol Log 134526
Today I traveled with Lady Angelina, Sir Mordalen and Squire Svetlana from Baldur's Gate, to the Farmlands, up north through the Fields of the Dead, to the hills filled with Ogres, into the Troll Claws, back down to the Fields of the Dead, and then back up to the Troll Claws.
Baldur's Gate- Nothing unusual to report. We all met and decided to travel north to see if anyone needed help there. We have noticed alot of traffic in that area and it was a wonderful idea to see if we could do any good.
Farmlands- nothing unusual to report. Squire Svetlana made sure the farmer had enough to grow his crops. As a follower of Chauntea she takes her dedication to her diety very seriously. I find it a wonderful sight to behold.
Fields of the Dead- We destroyed all the undead in the areas both southern and northern on our way to the hills that contained the Ogres.
Ogres - Nothing unusual to report besides alot of Ogres.
Troll Claws - We fought here for some time to ensure safe passage for those who may come by. We were then met by Bob (Karl) our honorary Guardian of the Order. We fought for some time until Sir Mordalen, Lady Angelina and Squire Svetlana needed to head back for various reasons. I ensured to Ethereal them so their travel was safer and quicker. Bob and I continued our task until such time as we, well rather I decided we should head and see if there are others south who may need help. I say I decided because Bob does not talk. He does seem to understand alot and is a true Guardian. I only hope he does not fall into wicked hands.
Fields of the Dead - Bob and I met two gentlemen. A halfling named Stumpy and a warrior named Keriah. They told us they were headed up to battle trolls to help the Tanner in Candlekeep. Well at this point we (Bob and I.. well again I for Bob does not speak) offered our aid. They graciously accepted and we headed to the Troll Claws to battle Trolls once again.
Troll Claws - We battled hard but it seems the Trolls never end here. I was so very much impressed with our two new companions Stumpy and Keriah. They seemed to slide right into our little party will ease. Enchantments were shared, healing given, and even a beautiful song sung by Stumpy. As we fought we then met a mage. I do not think we got his name but he seemed nice and we helped him complete his task as well. I am regretful that these hills are so infested that people can not come here simply to enjoy the air and the view. It was to my greatest joy that Lady Angelina then finally returned and we continued until most headed back to Baldur's Gate. Lady Angelina and I enchanted Bob with everything we could and asked him to seek others to help in a goodly manner. We then returned to the Temple Of Tyr together where she slumbers and I write this entry in the logbook.
