Gharu's Gift to the Underdark (Map of the Underdark)

Fullsize Version of the Map

The maps sit in a few crates next to an abandoned stall, collecting dust. It would seem no one has been handing them out for months now.

//Nothing creative, basically just took the screenshot of every map in the UD and repainted them with some made-up corridors to connect all of the maps together. Hope this will help those who arn't familiar with the Underdark's terrain!

Wow, this is incredible! Very helpful indeed. All it needs now is some lines to distinguish between levels of the Underdark (upper/lower) and I'll use this as a guide for future building. :D

Kar stops to look at the map , her expression changes from curiosity to concentration, nodding from time to time as the young Jalil peices togheter the diferent locations. She's always had a firm grasp of what was where , but like her magic it was mostly instinctive.

- This is bweal Gharu , to ussa's knowledge its the only of its kind in such fine details.

She nods again and continues to the bazaar.

// very nice, this can be a usefull tool for new players or Dms planning an event down in UD ! i suggest it gets stickied.

//Thank you so much for the compliments! It means a lot to me.

//And Tfunke, I'm going to. Need to update the map eventually, should I just guess at which areas are in the upper/lower levels or is there a set information on which areas are?

// Holy **** ! This.is. ... I just don't have the words to describe how marvelous it is.
From now on, in the times I log in, I will have this image shamelessly saved in one of my browser's tabs. Always. :D

*a small imp flies in the Bazaar of Dark Weavings, maneuvering it's way between bystanders and traders. The small devil heads towards Gharu's stand, where it takes hold of one of the scrolls*

"I shall take one of these for my master, I think he will pleased... Yes...." ,says with a wide smirk in his whispering voice.

Soon after the fiend re-appears, this time it discretely places a leather pouch on the stand, with a small note tied on it, disappearing only a moment before the cleric turns towards it.

"Your work is of utmost quality, Gharu. You may serve the Lady of Mysteries, however I believe you honor Lord Oghma as well... I leave you a token of my appreciation."
*signed with Eldebryn's name and sigil, a hexagon with interconnected corners. The pouch itself contains approximately 8 thousand gold pieces*

// really nice work, remind me to give you the coins in-game if you see me ;)

Rumour has it a delegation, some say as many as twenty while others insist they were only two whereas many and more insist the numbers to be there inbetween, met up at the stand and procured no less than forty copies of the map. One thing all agree to, the members of the delegation wore the House Emblem of Qu'ellar Mori'hyanda.

An exorbitant sum of gems were traded for the maps, who knows, in the coming days more merchants might step up and try to "sell" dubious items proclaiming they are free of charge... or maybe everything will just continue as it always has in the City of Dark Weavings.

An interesting take on how things fit together. However, just to note to all players that the areas represent a only a small amount of areas across a rather large section of the UD. So, while this is how it looks in game, in reality the locations, relative to one another, would be placed differently, and with much greater distance between them.

Also, not sure if the Conclave would appreciate citizenry the mapping their domain.

Still though, a very well done map that would probably help out those new to the UD.

Mar is right. While this provides the ground-work for all accessible areas, the actual span of the areas would be quite large, covering miles of ground. I debated simply having lines between the ATs, but I decided it wasn't really creative, even though it might've been more accurate. So if anything, take this map as a poorly scaled map that covers the areas of importance well. And on the issue of the Conclave having a problem with it. The DM's can act on this if they wish. I've been role-playing it as a mission for the 7th Circle to help the members who are unfamiliar with the terrain.

This is awesome! Now if you REALLY want to make some money make a map of the maze to the surface!
