The Cloakwood Experiments

Celuren opens the door and a walks to his favorite spot at the left side closest kitchen. He sits down making sure to shake off any ice from his boots before placing them on the stool.

lady Alyth "Luren! good to see you gain" she wipes the counter down with a damp rag "your usual?" Celuren "yes" he keeps his head low as he scans the tavern. Lady Alyth slides him a pint of ale and asks "how have your travels been? it has been some time since you last came around here" Celuren catches the ale and holds it firm and replies "My travels have been long and eventful" he smiles at her before taking a sip. she grins back "anything in particular? you know I tire of same banter from the locals.." her face seems sincere and Celuren smirks then purses his lips before saying "Well I have a tale or sorts one that might intrigue you" she looks at him with curiosity "oh dont tease me with fanciful tales of dragons and loot" she laughs playfully.

He grins "nay no tales of dragons or of anything fanciful for that matter, I wittnessed something strange in cloakwood" he says before taking another sip of his ale she turns to him cleaning a few glasses as they converse "cloakwood you say?" he smiles in reply "aye, I was aiding a priest of the oak father. Thinning the populace of monsterous spider and we came across a man, a very strange and unusual man" he licks his lips before sipping his ale again "this man struck me as the arcane type, had unknown properties surrounding his face and hands...unlike anything I have seen in my four hundred years" She looks at him intently and says "he was just standing around in the forest?"

he grins "actually he appeared out of nowhere...as if he could freely transport in and out of the forest. was most unusual" she looks at him with a confused look and he nods "I know...far fetched isnt it, but I assure you that man was able to do such and with great ease" she looks at him with concern "did he give a name?" celuren shakes his head "nay, he was rather unwilling to converse, despite the few things he did say" She places a clean glass back onto the bartop and begins to clean another "what did he say?" Celuren holds his nearly empty pint to his lips "he mentioned experimenting with portals in that area, which angered the priest whom was with me....rightly so" he looks around the bar to see who could be listening "not your beginners sort of magic now....rather dangerous stuff, but that is all he eluded to before vanishing into thin air.." he takes a last sip from his ale and places it on the bar.

She looks at him "another?" he places his hand up and wavers a no. "I will speak with Narindir about this...perhaps even head master rhys" she glances at him "be careful luren if you get yourself killed whos gonna tell me tales about portals? and powerful wizards of cloakwood!" she snickers at him as he gets up and places some coins on the bartop as he exits the tavern he smiles and says "be safe Alyth avoid cloakwood" and closes the door behind him
