A Dedication To Duty.

First Name: Alexander
Last Name: Marshall

Appearance:
Race: Aasimar
Age: 26
Height 6'7
Weight: 210 lbs
Eyes: Cerulean
Hair: Jet Black
Facial Hair Style: Full beard and mustache, well groomed and kept

Personality Profile:
General Health: Very good. Alexander's body is his temple to Torm
Deity: Torm (>.>)
Initial Alignment: Lawful Good
Profession: Aspiring Knight
Base Class & Proposed Development: Paladin. Development into Paladin/Weapons Master/Divine Champion
Habits/Hobbies: Alexander has a tendency to quietly observe the conversations and goings on of others at the Friendly Arms Inn campfire. Feeling often disconnected with the people as a whole, Alexander strives to remain a quiet vigil in order to better assist those whom cannot assist themselves. Alexander also enjoys aiding others in the proper use of weaponry, educating those whom are curious about Torm, and leading/following trained military units into battle against overwhelming odds.
Languages: Common, Celestial, Elven
Weapon of Choice: Greatsword
Favorite Food: Torm Flakes

Background: Alexander is unsure of where he was born, exactly. His youngest memories begin as a child, within the Temple of Everlasting Justice in Sundabar. Always physically larger than his peers, Alexander found himself an outcast amongst the younger generation. The fleeting kindnesses that he found were in the most senior member of the Chruch, Baric Gallows. Baric was a kind hearted old man, whom spoke gently to the child and would often encourage him that his size meant he was meant for something bigger. (Play on words!) The kind elderly man told Alexander nothing of his mother or father though, keeping from him his heritage until he came to 12 winters old. He never found the identity of his parents. As soon as he was strong enough to wield a sword, Alexander began to train within the temple. His body naturally predisposed to the greatsword, due to his and it's larger size. At the age of 14, He was chosen to Squire for Sir Maxwell Dayne of the Loyal Fury. For eleven years, Alexander played the roll of his squire, learning all he could from the man of Torm, though rarely seeing actual battle. The land was safer around the Temple. He would not find knighthood here.

Alexander grew restless then, Torm's call was strong within his heart, urging him to step outside of the safety of the world he'd always known, to seek out those whom would have more need of him. Thusly, he took to travelling. There were many ships, horses, and worn-out boots throughout his journey to Baldur's Gate, each with it's own experience and tale, though when he finally arrived in the Lands, a noble paladin pointed him towards the Radiant Heart. Alexander sent a letter to the Order, awaiting to be accepted as he acclimated himself to the new lands, and has since been an Initiate within it's ranks. Alexander's devotion to duty, and justice dwarfs everything else in the man's existance, prepared to stand steadfast and loyal against a world whose darkness is constantly threatening to engulf the light.
Goals: An unquenchable desire for Duty and Justice, Alexander's goal is to reach full Knighthood, and protect the lands he's sworn his life for.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Alexander Marshall is a fairly easy character to figure out. Plot-hooks ranging from the classic Evil Necromancer and the Damsel in Distress, to the revenge driven rage of a misled fallen knight. He is the opitome of a Knight. (Or I try to make him that way, Sometimes failing.) I'd be interested to see a plotline delving further into his race and heritage. I'd also like to see something giving him a deeper, spiritual connection with his deity, Torm, where he might interact more closely with the deity, or at least feel the Loyal Fury's overwhelming prescence and will. Alexander is a soldier, first and foremost, bred to serve and protect. He follows orders without question, particularly when he feels the will of his deity. The idea of Torm speaking to Alexander, or perhaps speaking to him through someone else, would bolster his determination to enact Torm's will. Another Plot-hook that may be interesting is the everlasting search for a weapon of legends. A knight is often known for the blade he wields, and the prowess in which he wields it.
