Background:
J'nryg has since long decided that the only person he can trust is himself. Events in his life has shaped the thought of being left alone versus everyone else. He can look and behave like he accepts you as a friend, but he does not.
Growing up in Amn as a child of the street has taught him that nothing in life is for free, if you have nothing, you must do everything to obtain something.

During his uprising he spent most of his time learning the ways of the street. How to survive and make a living. Early on he noticed that he had a nack for the dice, luck or the absence of bad luck quickly turned the tide in his favour. He found himself a woman, which he married, life was looking bright.
But with an ever increasing wealth came other problems, drinking and gambling while drunk turned his life upside down. Even to the point of loosing his beloved wife, killed by the man which J'nryg owed a substantial amount of gold.

After the event with the gambling debt, J'nryg sworn to avenge his wife. He delve deep into the raw magic of the weave. Obtaining much power. But after he had exacted his revenge, he could not halt himself. Obtaining more power became the goal of his very existance, drunk with power, wanting more.
Drinking became a way of tapping further into his own self, unlocking doors he never thought ever existed.

Goals:
Pure and simple, obtain as much power as fast as possible. J'nryg focuses all his personal development into two pools. Using his power and trying to find out how to obtain more, hoping to unlocking the very essence of power itself.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
In his quest of unlocking his full potential, J'nryg does not take others into consideration. He will walk over corpses if he has to. This puts him in rather strange and peculiar situations which he seldom has a proper explanation for.
