She is often confronted of her heritage and finds them not only most suited to her lithe hands, but realizes they're least provocative when she has no desire to use them.Background:
- Born into nigh-poverty, under hazy circumnstances and an absentee father, Ginny's mother Ginafae didn't abandon her tainted child after birth, instead finding meaning in the anomalities that a tiefling wrought, after the bitterness that had come from being abandoned by Ginny's father. The two of them scraped by, and Ginny kept mostly hidden away from society until she came of age, for truly few were the opportunities when she could have engaged other children, especially during daytime and without concealing her features that would've drawn would've brought upon the terrible prejudice of other children.During her early years she would sneak out at night, just to see a glimpse of the world she was in yet detached from. She would gradually improve at recognizing and avoiding certain dangers in the night - with a good dose of occasional luck, too.
What she lacked in social connections she made up for by reading any and all books she came across. Two years ago, her life changed fully when her mother passed away with coughs and cold. She found herself more and more living on the streets, using her wits and the gifts of few lenient people she had come across.
Her only brief love interest to date left her deeply scarred, literally and figuratively, when she found out her suitor's interest was purely physical - in her as a tiefling, and that he tried to sell her to an ambigious third party as a curiosity, an exotic slave or test subject. Her suitor's life had ended that night, the body she had disposed at the docks, but not before she had been scarred across her face with an acid enchanted cicle.
These incidents in particular, along with countless smaller ones, have made Ginny's outlook on life rather grim - every woman for herself. She has come to realize that the world will give no quarter, that world is cruel and unfair place where power and gold govern. There is one principle her mother Ginafae imbued her with that sticks, however - Ginny has made it a point that even though she reaches up from poverty, she will not commit theft, or kill any more than she truly needs to, to survive.
Goals:
- Veritable delusions of grandeur, Ginny believes that the bad in her life can be overcome if she can protect herself with a buffer of wealth and leverage. She knows that there are very few aspects of life she can truly excel at, and she will attempt to improve herself. On most days, however, Ginny's main concern is survival.Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
