Background: Decado mentions little of his past preferring to deflect interest elsewhere. Growing up in the village of Ulfthast on the Great Glaciar he showed a natural talent for the manipulation of magicial energies, especially those of cold spells. So much so that the council of warriors overcame their cultural distrust of magic and enabled him to study the ways of magic. Despite this endorsement Decado was still considered to be less than a man by many of the people of the village as in their eyes the ideal definition of a man wore furs, was nearer 7 foot than 6 feet tall and wielded a weapon approximately twice his own size. The tribe itself were to a man, worshippers of Auril, however they paid homage to a great white wrym which resided in the area as well seeing this as a creature of Auril. This was life as Decado knew it until around 5 years ago when it seems that the wyrm decided it was tired of these pesky human bleating at it and decided to devour the village instead. Striking at night the villagers never stood a chance and in a short time the entire village was razed to the ground all inhabitants consumed or frozen solid. Luckily Decado managed to escape through the means his magic but the terror filled night left a massive impression on him, instilling a terrible fear and hatred of dragons within him. His attitude to the teachings of Auril changed that night as well. He still follows Auril but has decided that white dragons despite being an arctic creature and thus of Auril need to be eradicated wherever and whenever possible. This puts him at odds with a core teaching of Auril and so often puts him at odds with the clergy of Auril. As such he tends not to reveal his faith to just anyone.
Goals: To kill dragons, white ones in particular. To increase his magical might. To become a Frost Mage. To earn a name for himself.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: He wants to become a power as you need to be pretty darned powerful to challenge dragons and live. As such he also realises that life experience is the fastest way to achieve this. Therefore he is always open to questing in order to better himself. However it is worth noting he is neutral evil (currently) and so his motivations are selfish. He doesn't care if a damsel in distress needs his help if he can instead opt to instead acrue wealth or experience to himself doing something else. His progression is paramount. It's worth noting is more more than happy to be nice to other adventurers in order for them to help him do something he might not be able to do by himself. He is also searching for a name for himself, according to the traditions of his village is needs to be formed of a deed that he achieves - something he feels he still needs to do.
