Background:Cardinal Grom Oaken, or Grom Oaken as he is known now was once the spiritual leader of a religious movement known as the Oaken. This group worshiped The Oak Father and answered only to the High Priest who in turn communed with the Oak, whom had established the cult to protect the forests around his domain.

Many, many years ago Grom and his companions were assaulted by an army of marauding Orcs intent of burning down the forests to make settlements from which to raise a mighty Force to attack the surrounding lands, unarmed and outnumbered the druids fought like zealots refusing to allow the interlopers to destroy that which they hold dearest

Grom saw many of his fellows slaughtered and was expecting to join them in the afterlife as all hope was lost. A handful of druids left against hundreds of blood crazed Orcs. Only after the intervention of the an Ancient Forest Dragon did Grom survive, his wounds so grievous he was as close to death as one could get without slipping away into the abyss.

These long years since the Druid has been resting deep within what is now left of the forest, the Oak caring for his needs with the aid of friendly Wood Elves. His wounds healed, he has vowed to find the Orc warlord responsible for his loss and destroy him in the name of the Oaken.

His Brothers all gone, his home burnt and barren Grom sets out on his quest. He has lost much strength but with meditation and focus he will regain his mighty power and scourge the unclean from this earth.

Goals:To destroy the orc warboss responsible for his loss and rebuild the coven.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Grom's age reflects that of an unnaturally old human, he has remained in the safe guard of the oak for many years, sadly his mind is going and he has a bad habit of forgetting things. He is trying to rebuild the coven which was once lost, so he is always looking for druids and rangers with a certain sparkle in their eyes.
