Template For Character Creation Reward:

First Name: Neszaya
Last Name: Shezmu

Appearance:
Neszaya is quite short compared to the majority of her kin, built lean and wiry with muscles. Her ashen skin bears countless scratches and scars that add to her overall unkempt appearance, which has most people overlook the warrioress' otherwise fair features typical for Elves.

Sporting several small dents and carvings, her centuries old armor tells of many fought battles - some of them clearly lost. If one can see past the dirt and rust, they will find the Whaterdhavian seal on the shoulder piece.

Due to her her height, one of the oversized swords on Neszaya's back often touches the ground, leaving marks wherever she wanders
Race: Wood elf

Weight: As heavy with muscles as one of her size can be
Eyes: Golden

Personality Profile:
It seems as if Neszaya's decision to master the greatsword is an attempt to compensate for what she lacks in physical presence. She found that being bold and knowing what she wants goes a long way to make up for her size.
General Health: Often tired but otherwise quite healthy
Initial Alignment: Neutral
Profession: Mercenary
Base Class & Proposed Development: Weaponmaster
Habits: Reacts rash when looked down upon or disrespected, rejects change.
Hobbies: Whiskey!, dueling/training and occasionally drawing.
Languages: Common, Elven, Sylvan
Weapon of Choice: Greatsword

Background: In 1080 Neszaya is born the third of three children to a forest ranger family, only a few miles east of Waterdeep. Growing up on a farm right by the borders to the Ardeep Forest, she learns to help with manual labour, feeling obligated to work extremely hard in order to keep up with her older brothers.

She had just come of age when she challenged them for their position as heirs. Amused by his short daughters request, her father let them fight and stood astonished when Neszaya beat both of them in turn. As he had not expected her to win, she was refused what should have rightfully been hers.

Perhaps to prove herself, Neszaya then left to join the Waterdhavian City Guard in 1215, at the age of 135. It takes five years for her to shake off her image of that small Elven girl amongst her comrades, and still then she lacks the physical presence to ever be offered a position higher than sergeant.

Neszaya is still a soldier when in 1235 Waterdeep is besieged for nine months by the largest orc horde in recorded history. It is in one of these battles that the elf stands face to face with an orc general twice her size, wielding a greatsword of her size.

She remembers the fight only in a haze of blood and shouts, yet the risk she took to come out alive remains burnt into her mind - and her left hand: In the course of the fight Neszaya took a hold of the blade that flickered with lightning and dark energy and twisted it. The orc, so startled by the fact that she grabbed the deadly weapon, let down his guard, allowing the small warrioress to end his life with a well aimed blow.

The memories of her lost friends and comrades, that she had served alongside with for twenty years, haunted Neszaya wherever she would go in the City of Splendors. There was no trace of her family even when the Year of the Black Horde had passed and so she left with the flickering war trophy on her back to start anew.

Unfortunately Neszaya is terrible at exactly that. Even a hundred years later she still wears the Whaterdhavian uniform, as if it could help retain the respect that her comrades of the City Guard eventually showed for her. Her friends are now long dead and her armor is rusty, dirty and anything but splendid looking.

Goals: Neszaya wants to master the greatsword and eventually wield the blade that she has taken from the orc general in 1235 and not used since.
She is aware that her uniform does no longer grant her the respect that had people see past her height, so she is looking for means to regain a reputation.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: She still suffers from nightmares and tends to drink one too much to find rest.
The hand she grabbed the sword with has not fully healed yet.
Even though the whereabouts of her family are still unknown, she shows no great interest in actively searching for them.
Still feels strongly connected to Waterdeep and despises orcs.
