Extra:

What you see before you is an individual of average hieght. He moves about with a grace uncommon to the brutish movement of other sorts of humanoids.

He bears a small sigil of Tyr upon his breastplate. A slight glow emanantes from an amulet he wears about his neck. His dark armor is adorned with symbols of the moon, stars, and night.

On his back rests a greatsword of fine steel craftmanship, suited towards the limber, light, and quick fighting stile of Elven kin. He swings with an agile and fierce discipline that appears a foil to the barbaric berzerker rage of the more savage races.

((Roll a 25 to spot check to detect his race when he has his hood on.))

He bears a face youthful and yet slightly gaunt, with golden eyes that seem to look into your very soul. He has a solemn expression upon his face, but seems for the most part unworried even in the most dire of situations.

Background: An elf born to a dishonoured lineage of Warrior-Nobles, his family fell into disarray due to the actions of a few members of the house. Still young at the age of 120 years, he encountered a Priest of Tyr during these more tremulous of times who spoke to him of the will and message of Tyr, and Thrar was persuaded to Tyr's vision of the pursuit of justice and the improvement of the world. For forty years, he studied the teachings of Tyr, lore, and the Common language in a monastery of Tyr far east of the Sword Coast. There came a time when Thrar took it upon himself to seek the path of his faith, in the world. He left home with a dull blade on his back and a sack on his belt.

He traveled the lands, honing his skill with the greatsword, and eventually arrived at Baldur's Gate. Seeing a land plagued by injustice, with monsters and savages roaming the land, Thrar found an opportunity to bring and execute Tyr's vision upon a troubled world.

Goals:Thrar seeks to remedy the injustices in the world, either through violence or through peaceful means. He is devoted to the cause of Tyr, in order to create a more perfect world of righteousness. Although he knows this is ultimately an endless and impossible endeavor, he believes that getting as close as possible to perfection is good enough for humanity, overall. He seeks the power, wealth, status, strength, and skill in order to bend the forces of the world towards these ends. His goals are not entirely altruistic, however, as he also seeks this path in order to make his mark upon the world, and have his house and family remembered for the right reasons throughout history.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Thrar dar Thane is a follower of Tyr, and although he can be described as a "Lawful Good" character by the actions he takes (a character is more than what he does, but also what he thinks), stating that he is simply such is a gross oversimplification of his person; Thrar values justice, and he seeks out the greater good in society. Such a path might require a more neutral and impure path, but he is convinced that to the extent that he does more good than bad, the ends justify the means. Thrar does not abide oathbreakers, deceivers, liars, thieves, and those who commit acts for selfish, sinister, or non-altruistic reasons. Lastly, he bears suspicion on those whose motives rest behind greed, selfishness, and a search for power for reasons that are, once more, non-altruistic; instead, Thrar by example seeks wealth and power in order to only shape the world towards the perfection that the followers of Tyr often seek out.
