Appearance:
Slim but has a trained physique. His hair is dark brown and reaches almost to his shoulder, but to avoid letting it get in the way he keeps it in a knot. Visible from under the dark colored hood of his you can spot a pair of dark green eyes, usually with a boyish gleam in them. Daelan's overall appearance can be described as being very nimble.

Weight: Trained build, though he can hardly be called muscled.

Daelan is a true product of living in a harsh and tough enviroment, he knows his capabilities and what is required to survive. And therefore he can hardly be considered good, as he will do what it takes to survive and to achieve his goals. Though he will not kill those who he considers to be "Pure of heart"
In a more casual setting Daelan comes across as the typical cheery halfling, but to someone with a trained eye it is quite visible that this side of him is slightly forced. He tries to maintain this persona most of the time when around other people, but when he is alone or he is in a combat situation. This facade is replaced by a much more serious and calculating person, someone who does not hesitate to do his job and does what is required of him.

Background:
Daelan was born and raised in the harsh city of Waterdeep. He has known nothing but how to live among a crowd, having been raised in various orphanages. But he is the true product of the adaptability of the halfling race, he managed to survive under harsh conditions and with no money but what he could steal or get using fraud. Something he got very good at over time. Due to an unfortunate robbery, he was banished from waterdeep by one if its nobles. If he were to return he would be executed on sight. Since then he has wandered the lands of the sword coast, seeking riches and to pursue more means of perfecting his "art"
He has over the course of the years been taught the art of assassination, and the use of coating his weapons in poisons. Though he does not take contracts, he will not hesitate to use these skills to take down those he considers enemies.
After a few years on the road, once again surviving using his talents, Daelan ended up in Baldur's Gate. Here he has found a lively city, and met quite a few interesting people that is keeping him from wandering on.
Goals: To perfect his art, and to find a place he can settle down and live comfortably without having to resort to taking up contracts to achieve that.
Possible plothook ideas and misc. facts: Well, he has obtained quite a few enemies over the years. And he has also failed to fullfill a few assassination contracts in the past, because once he got to "know" the target he turned it down and in some cases even warned the target and then left himself. And of course completed several contracts and though he was never caught or seen, there are those who know who he is. And all information can be traded on.
