Background:

Gareth grew up on a small farm just outside Baldurs Gate. Helping his parents till the fields and harvest the crops awakened his awe in the ability of all life to constantly renew itself. Having a safe and secure youth Gareth has maintained a zeal for life and a full well of optomisum. After reaching young adult hood his parents decided that it would be best to nurture and grow his faith by sending him to the Lathander temple in the Gate. For four years he learned the rituals and rites of the Morninglord. He has now reached the age that his mentors believe is time for him to pilgramage and spread the words of Renewal and Life to Faerune.
