Languages: Common, Thorass (waterdhavian with a hint of luskan), Elven (a slight moon elf accent), undercommon (spoken like a local from Skullport), sylvan and auran. An extended stay on the high seas with only himself and a keg, ungodly creatures dont count, gave him plenty of time to listen and learn the languages of air and sea.
Weapon of Choice: The blade of a fencer (rapier).

Background: Grew up in waterdeep as the lone son of a reformed luskan pirate who made his living as a fencing instructor. Raised among the students of his father there was nothing indecent about his life until unfortunate events, Beshaba be cursed, made him fall in love with a gorgeous seamstress daughter who also happened to be woed by a lesser noble. A duel, a few tearful goodbyes and a tiny pouch of coin later found him whisked onto a ship of free souls where he spent three years learning the trade of sailors and free souls while hardening his soul and degrading his speech. A few blood contracts later found him on the decks of the infamous pirate ship The Drunken Death were he served and slew until last spring. On the last voyage of The Drunken Death the captain had fancied a sorceress and brought her aboard to improve the catch, or so he claimed. 10 days and a sunset after leaving port Michael found himself riding a keg on the high seas while silently watching the ghastly shadow of his ship and his former companions slip away into the night to the sound of the scournful laughter of a woman and the tormented wails of turned souls. After weeks, or so he thinks upon recollecting, a merchant man found him delirious, parched and sunscorched. He left at next port which happened to be Baldur's Gate. For months he struggled along as a landlubbing adventurer until a windfall brought him into the company of a bard named Dovey and eventually the roaring shores. In time he joined the Hellstorm crew after having collected his face scar, that gave him his nickname, from unknown sources (//damned Zhent). Noteworthy accomplishments on the sword coast includes saving Benchley's wife from a dragon and assisting in the resurrection of mad captain Gareut Hellstorm, damned his soul.
Goals: In the long term he intends to found a fencing academy like his father did and retire from the life as a pirate. In the short term he attempts at surviving and having some joys in the life he lives in constant fear due to the nefarious Bones and her blasted undead servants.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Piracy at large, damsel in distress, the curing of his fear of undead, fencing.
