Scota O'Connor - The Values of Vengence
Appearance: Scota is a fair-looking halfling female, with clearly visible (if clothing does not cover them) green ivy tattoos all along her left side from her face to her left hip. Actual ivy and burlap swathes flow over her left shoulder and shield like a partial ghillie camoflage. Her preferred aversion to combat lends her appearance to stealth.
Race: Halfling
Age: 29
Height: 4' even
Weight: 80 lbs
Eyes: Green as emeralds
Hair: Amber, long and wavy
Personality: Scota is of moderate temperament and generally happy. She does have a very scornful streak when she feels she has been wronged. Scota generally prefers a subtle approach to difficult situations and does not favor combat, though she will not avoid it when the situation calls for it.
General Health: Very healthy and fit.
Profession: Adventurer, (discreetly) Avenger for Hire, former (unsuccessful) merchant in Waterdeep
Habits/Hobbies: Loves the lore of the lands, widdles sticks, enjoys collecting Elven-made weaponry and clothing, sings a great deal and is moderately talented in most common instruments except percussion. Her musical skills are generally limited to calm melodies on her fiddle or fife. Scota's "other" hobbies include doling out a ton of retribution as she sees fit. She often smokes from an Elven pipe while travelling or after particularly stressful events.
Languages: Speaks with a brogue. Speaks Common, Halfling, decent Elven, and very little Dwarven.
Weapon of Choice: She prefers her sling(s) as they are light, stowable, and not terrible intimidating. She will also use a dagger she calls "Sweet Whisper." She once carried an Elven longsword, mostly for show and due to her love of Elven wares. She has since parted with the piece in order to pay for the reforging of her favorite dagger.

Re: Scota O'Connor - The Values of Vengence
Day 1 of my New Life
Well, I thought I 'ad hung up the idea o'being an adventurer... but 'ere I am. I jus' coudn't stand th'life of a merchant. Hmm... do miss the wares though. Aye, when those pointy-eared and half-pointy-eared types came to exchange goods, it was always the highlight of m'day. Elven wares... they can't be beat. Almost too bad the Gods made me a Hin in a way. Odd obsession with them goods admittedly. Meh.
Day 6
Found m'self some work through the Adventurer's Guild. It's not much at th'moment, but at least that loud dwarf entertains me. Hmm... "loud dwarf"... sort of a redundant phrase I s'pose. Anyway, been out and about in the nearby lands. I can't say I 'ave anything to complain about. The orc lairs contain enough for a living (with the added bonus of killin' orcs a'course) plus the income from the occasional contract with the Guild. Either way, it sure beats the life of meager merchant sharing a home with a cheatin' spouse. Damned man. 'Ee got 'is in th'end. Lousy *#&$^.

Day 15
So... I 'ear there is gold t'be made on those Minotaur horns. Excellent. I s'ppose I should plan an expedition down there. [wis-fail] Bah, I don't need anyone to come with me. Hmm... added bonus: No splittin' th'proceeds! We'll jus' leave th'ole Guild out o' this one...
Mmmmhmm. Riches, here I come!
Day 16
Met a surprisingly kind wizard today during my trek into the caverns containing the wretched two-legged cows. His name was Dex. Ought to watch that one. He doesn't have the best aim, but he definitely stabs at all the vitals given the opportunity.
I suppose I could have bypassed 'im and left emptied rooms and looted cow-carcasses in my wake... but 'ee did git th' drop on me... and 'ee was kind. Egh, mutually-assured survival made it worth th' while. 'Ee was a pleasant gent and offered plenty of assistance. I shall keep that in th'back of m'mind I suppose.

Day 17
So, interestin' run-in today... found me a NECROMANCER! Aye! L'il *$(%* went an' disappeared before I 'ad much of a chance to follow 'im. Followed the little fiends' friend though. Don't think she took to kindly to bein' stalked. Seemed terribly annoyed whenever I rustled a bush. Meh. One-eyed lass ran around makin' Lizardmen into piles of green goop. Well, I didn't see a thing wrong with tha' an'... well... I left. She didn't seem loike she summoned the dead 'erself so... meh. It was a wasted day methinks.

Day 21
I've got t'say... I got some terrible timin'. No sooner did I git to these lands than did a war between Amn an' the Gate start. I've 'ave the damnedest luck sometimes! Things seem to be calmin' down at least a bit. 'Ells, I ought to see if there is any work to get from this!
Hmm, 'eard that there was some trouble gittin' shipments into the port at the Gate. Per'aps I should meet up with tha' 'alf-demon pirate lass I ran inta a while back. She moite 'ave some work. Desperation often leads t' profit, roite!? Well, tha' an' some regretable nights after drinks a' th' tavern. *shudders*

Day 36 --- Carnies and General Shenanigans
They set up camp for some circus or some such near them Xvart crunchies. A li'l Gnomish carnie 'ired us to protect them while they set up. 'Twas a foine adventure and a welcome distraction from th' mundane contract scoutin' I been at recently. Even found m'self servin' alongside some Knights of the Silver Rose. Can't say I ever expected to 'ave such foine comp'ny along side meh!
Alas, the li'l Gnomish carnie stiffed m'coinpurse in th' end. Dirty copper pence tha' one! All well... made some profit off the Xvart weapons stores at least. At least it was an excitin' adventure!
[thanks for the event!]

Day 339 --- Lionclothes and Plate
Well, the travels 'ave been many, and the profits merely moderate. Nevertheless, I don't much moind m'new life.
Met some odd knightly-unknightly elf. Ee was goin' on an' on about defendin' 'is pointy-eared kin. Somethin' somethin' somethin' Doran Amor somethin' somethin' defend at all costs etc. Well 'ee seemed the possibly-vindictive sort with a possible cause worthy o' m'service. The pointier the ear, the deeper the coinpurse m'thinks... so I passed 'im m'card.
Odd fella though... lioncloth an' plate an' such. 'Is two blades made me miss m' old longsword admittedly.

Day 492 --- Settling In
Found some employ which I shan't detail here... lest these writin's fall into the hands of certain interested parties.
So that's some good news! Always good t' 'ave a steady stream of income, though the pay is of want. But aye, finally hedged m'bets on a group. Sorta.
Aye, finally got m'dagger repaired too. Been missing a hilt and 'ad a broken blade fer the better part o' three months. Took a while to find a skilled blacksmith capable o' repairin' a foine Elven blade. Met many interestin' folks this way as well, though they are too many to list. Many an adventurer loike m'self. None with as foine a pipe though. Ha!
Oh. Been warlock huntin too. I know I 'eard one th' other day. Recognized them incantations jus' a bit. Followed her fer a bit... but never could verify. Fer all I know though, she coulda been one o' them Candlekeep sorts pouring through some old tomes. Got to be cautious around 'er though... never do know... and I got debts to pay...

Day 732 --- Travel More than the Great Wayward Scamp
Well there i' is. Some matters at 'ome called me. 'Ad to tend to 'em an finance me trip back to Waterdeep. I both miss it an' loathe the place. When I returned to th' Gate, I found that th' guild 'ad largely disbanded. With tha', so 'as my accounts.
Got an old relic still tha' moite be worth somethin. We shall see.
Other than tha', jus' been up t' me old ways: I sing, I sling, an' one a' th'two fixes any problems I seem to 'ave.

Day 812 --- Turnabout
I ain't accomplishin' as much as I'd loike. Th' old guild is gone with little fanfare. Some of th' old contacts are still about. 'Ells... it's time to start plannin somethin'. Somethin' larger than me cuz I ain't gettin' anywhere solo.
I think in a few months, when m'affairs are in order, it's time to start or restart the network. Time to cash in on contacts and start makin' new connections. Need to fix ourselves a direction though. We can connect some of the seedier underbellies with their "noble" benefactors. Saves 'em both face, exposes us to little risk, and a little cut for ourselves and we'll do alroite.
We'll jus' be there to ensure the contracts are fulfilled on both ends. We are... an insurance policy for both parties. Tha' may be sellable. We'll see. Gots to get more ideas before we form up.
And dang it, I still need to decide what to do with this ole Ancient Elven Artifact. Ain't doin a damn thing fer me bein' hidden.
