Background:
Marc was born in Vaasa to a traveling merchant family. They traveled all over Faerûn and so he never had a place he called home. When he was 18, he had an argument with his parents about an ever increasing tendency to trade in illegal goods. This ended up in him leaving them behind to start a life on his own.
He joined a small mercenary band devoted to fighting large crime organizations. After a couple of years of training with the bow, he became part of a special operations squad to take out key targets, like enemy officers and such.
The mercenary band grew larger and became a mercenary army. The leader, a former soldier of the Waterdhavian army, and his second in command, a paladin of Helm came into an argument. They were commissioned, by what some might call a tyrant, to take out a group of rebels. The leader of the mercenaries saw the rebels as criminals, as they were against the laws of the land they were in, and the paladin felt that the rebels had just reason for their cause. They encountered several similar missions and arguing escalated. With the leadership in disagreement, the mercenary band slowly disbanded as they weren't getting any income.
Marc then started to travel the realms in search of new jobs. Being an experienced mercenary, he thought he might try to travel to Baldur's Gate and see if the Flaming Fist, one of the most known mercenary groups of the realms, needed his skills.
Goals:
- Contact the Flaming Fist and see if they are in need of people trained for special operations.
- If that fails, find another job, preferably one dedicated to fighting crime.
- Has a few scars. One in particular, runs from his left eye down to his neck in a slight curve.
- Hasn't talked with his family since he left them in a rage.
- He is very devoted to fighting all kinds of crime.
