YOU MUST SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE
This is to prevent the contest from being too crowded to be fun, and so the organizers know how many contestants to expect.

Two dwarves can be seen roaming around the cities and inns around Baldur's Gate nailing posters to bulletin boards, trees, and one unfortunate human who was standing in one place for too long. "Ach. Thought ye were a statue... sorry". Muttered Durgan as the human yelped and ran away.

The posters read:
Kraak Helzak fundraiser
Last Man Standing and Rumble Pit
Drinking Contest and Pit Brawl
It is the pleasure of King Dovkin Battlehammer to challenge the hearty folk of the Sword Coast to a traditional dwarven drinking contest followed by a pit brawl at the arena North of Baldur's Gate. There will be no entry fee, however donations will be taken and proceeds will go toward the building of the Kraak Helzak Clanhold. Winners of the drinking contest will receive engraved drinking steins while winners of the pit brawl will receive engraved belts.

There will be three entry categories for each event: Beginner, Veteran, Greybeard. Awards will be given for winners in each category. Come one come all and pit your might against the dwarven ale and the rumble pit!

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
-Players will be split into Levels 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 for each event.
-Event will be held on August 4th at 1900 EST at the arena North of Baldur's Gate.
-Please post if you plan to attend so we know how many players to expect.
-No spell, potion, wand, scroll, or useable buffs are permitted, however magical items such as rings of constitution and special abilities such as rage, bardic inspiration, or defensive stance are permitted.
-Expose weakness is permitted
-HiPS is not permitted
Last Man Standing Drinking Contest Rules:
-All contestants in a category will join the judge's party stand behind the drinking table
-At the judge's signal, all will take a drink by first doing the drink animation, then rolling a Fortitude Check Roll. If there are only a few contestants, we may do this individually, but most likely this will be simultaneous to save time.
-Each round of drinks will have an ever-increasing Fortitude DC to beat.
-If a contestant fails the check, he or she is out.
-Last contestant standing wins.
-In the event that all the contestants in a round fail the DC, the highest failing roll will be the winner.
-No spell, potion, wand, scroll, or useable buffs are permitted, however magical items such as rings of constitution and special abilities such as rage, bardic inspiration, or defensive stance are permitted.
-Expose weakness is permitted
-HiPS is not permitted

The DC for each round will increase by 5.
Levels 1-10 start at a DC of 0
Levels 11-20 start at a DC of 20
Levels 21-30 start at a DC of 35
Rumble Pit Brawl Rules:
-No weapons are allowed
-No armor is allowed
-No shields are allowed
-No Cloaks are allowed
-No gauntlets that provide attack or damage bonus are allowed
-Boots, rings, helmets, bracers, belts are allowed. This is primarily because I cannot think of a way to enforce whether these items are equipped or not, becuse it is not obvious if they are equipped. If anyone has suggestions, I would like to make these disallowed as well.
-Contestants will divide into three groups: Levels 1-10, 11-20, 21-30.
-At the judge's first signal, all contestants will become hostile toward each other
-At the judge's second signal, all contestants will begin fighting each other
-Last contestant standing wins
-Expose weakness is permitted
-HiPS is not permitted
-No elemental damage feats pemitted
-If a brawler leaves the brawling area, they are out of the brawl. They cannot be attacked and cannot attack. They cannot re-enter the brawl.

//What about Elemental Weapon? it's a special ability. Cold punches from hoihe perhaps ^^?//

Hoihe Dacino sees a poster... his tabard and equipment save for the cloak and hood are tattered and covered in acidic marks. "Hmm.. Now that I cleaved a black dragon to death alone... and wrestled with a Ssvaklor... might as well see if I can brawl an army of dwarves alone too" He grins and signs his name amongst the Greybeard section.

//It will be fun seeing Hoihe brawling vs 6DR dwarven defenders lol can only harm them with a crit. Being level 24 at this moment is a bit tough.

///yeah. I'm not sure how this brawl is going to come out. I hope everyone has a good time. I'm a little worried about the balance, especially if some monks show up!

//Maybe make it based on BAB over levels? That would place some people together more evenly... or not.

Representing the Kingsguard of the Kraak Helzak, Torgan cracks his knuckles and enters the Greybeard section of the unarmed brawl.

///Also assume you want to disallow cloaks?

///Just to point out this isn't a very EU friendly time, I may not be able to make it during the day.

I am very sorry about the inconvenient time. RL is such that this is the only realistic time I can do it. It I were able I would certainly choose a more EU inclusive time. Apoligies.

Being dead drunk, Starkad has the poster read to him, and in a moment of utter brilliance he vowes to enter the brawl. Shortly after he crashes down on the wooden table infront of him, sleeping it all off.

//I remember Hoihe and Starkad being rather friendly to each other in front of the Friendly Arms inn... Hmm maybe they will settle the dispute once and for all?

That's cool - it's not a complaint or a whinge on my behalf. Simply pointing it out in case a simple solution was at hand.
