These flyers are spreaded around in inns, taverns and several public spaces, across the Realm.

(This is a kind of a parody (more or less serious) of the flawed(not to say stupid and immoral) ways and views of the KKK. In no ways I/we agree with how these racists deal IRL with Real people. Do not take any of this as a serious bunch of real Racist.)

Rumours spreads fast about a suposed meeting of those interested to join the Anti-Orcblood League, at the arena, outside of Baldur's gate.

(Saturday 11 pm GMT, bring your booze and your hatred! :D)

The orcess Kaltyra sniffs at several copies of the fliers, sampling the scents the way a professional chef might sample various sauces while narrowing down the component herbs by taste. She doesn't admit it, but she is attempting to pick out the thematic smell beyond whom ever has been reading or touching the fliers - trying with idle curiosity to pinpoint the scent of this 'Flame' character as one who has presumably touched all the fliers.

With her children secure and her tribe able to defend themselves, she doesn't act out of any frantic concern and even laughs about it. "Ilktlktk, what is this land coming to when they need a support group to hate and hunt orcs, eh? Have I really done that much damage to our outlook? What a compliment!"

Although, perhaps to those astute, her attempt to track down this mystery leader might be a sign of a hidden unease.

Is this really to be taken seriously?

As you as a player remain anonymous, yet you single out by name the guild that I and some friends started--and NOT to be confused with Lampir's tribe or whatever--I have a hard time respecting the RP, especially if it would lead to the death and/or serious lack of freedom on this server for me and my friends toons.

Have you even ever once RP'd with the Orcbloods? Or is this just a generalized hate, which by the way, I find in bad taste, in that you reference the KKK, even sarcastically? I mean, why even do that?

+1 about the KKK, there is absolutely no need to reference this :|

Agreed. When I first read it, it bothered me that that reference was there.

1) There's nothing wrong with taking inspiration from history. You may not like that particular bit of history, but it can be a source of interesting RP. Whether or not anyone should openly reference to it in this way, is up to the DMs to decide. I personally I have no problems with it, though.

2) Criminal activity reduces your freedom. I don't know much about the Orcbloods, but if they are in any way active law-breakers, or simply being full-blooded Orcs (no law protects full-blooded Orcs as they're considered a threat to any society), then such fate is what is in store for them. The Hellstorm Crew, which my character was part of, is limited on where on the server they can go. Anywhere outside of Amnian lands, or Roaringshore, and they're risking their lives (strikes towards perma-death if caught by, or brought to, the Fist).

3) Suggestion: Better to hate on all the orcs, equally, than to single out only one 'clan'. Makes more sense, too.

OOC:
no law protects full-blooded Orcs as they're considered a threat to any society
what? :| I have been told that it is an in game felony to attack gray orcs in presence of the Fist!

The 'Tolerance is Treason' campaign was waged perfectly well by players, fully IC by elves banding together to kill, shame, and otherwise make known those who were consorting with drow on the surface back when it was run. We did it without reference to a cowardly bunch of sheet-wearers and did so without offending the drow on the surface. It was successful in changing the laws of the land, the perception of the citizens (as silly as it was that it needed to happen), etc. Good times for all parties involved.

I'd point you toward the RP threads around that campaign, but they were deleted by an over zealous DM well after my brother and I resigned as DMs. It was fun. It wasn't hurtful OOC nor was it done to single out any one drow or drow group.

I think this idea has merit, but the execution is rather flimsy.

1) An Anonymous 'Leader' is going to have a hard time inspiring anyone. You need a core group of members before you launch such a thing.

2) The idea of people needing anonymity to persecute a race that is decisively 'monstrous' by most citizen's accounts is a bit off-base (IMO).

3) You reference a group that is so divisive that it turns some off before you even start.

My advice is to come out with who you really are, and push the reset button.

There is no such preferential treatment...and if there is, there needs to be a larger discussion on the issue.

The Brotherhood of Orcbloods has not, to my knowledge, committed any crimes, or has been accused/caught/prosecuted for crimes.

All Gray Orc toons have the same rights in PvP as any toons on the server, at this point in time. They are not KoS.

Personally, as a player, I'd be happy to keep my Gray toon outside civilization, however, there are not yet enough lawless zones ingame to support it, and Roaringshore doesn't count.

I've asked Void for the status, but he has yet to reply to my many questions.

And, I agree with Broham2. I'm all for good RP against Gray Orcs, but reboot this and make it fun for both sides of the RP.

I believe 'orcbloods' in this case just meant anything with orc blood in it, steve, not the Orcblood tribe (which is a rather generic name you must admit).

And by the by you and your fellow tribe players are already just short of KOS as orcs, so really this group doesn't change anything, except maybe to give you very obvious targets to start slaughtering which is awfully convenient of them.

And yes Kaltyra is the only orc that is "protected" although Krumarth and Grubnar have some IC friends who try to defend them and Krumarth is trying to earn a city-pass. Admittedly Kaltyra is still a target, always has been, so is every orc. She and others have just been very carefully pushing the boundaries to try and get acceptance and over several years have accrued some respect and allies.

This has spiraled into an off-topic OOC discussion and is in violation of forum rule 4.
