Appearance: An obviously young half-drow, to those more familiar with the half-drow she looks like she's not quite and adult yet. She does not seem to be physically an adult, but her eyes tell of great hardships.

Hair: Jet-black

Personality Profile: She tries to always project the image of a strong and confident warrior, but does not always succeed. When she lets slip something personal or unintentional she immediately clamps down, and if someone offers her comfort during what she feels are moments of weakness she has a habit of lashing out. She does not care much for laws or such, but she does respect power and those in command.

General Health: Generally healthy

Deity: Vhaerun, and she's not all that quiet about it.

Initial Alignment: Neutral Evil

Profession: Adventurer, sneak.

Base Class & Proposed Development: Rogue

Habits/Hobbies: She has a habit of being overtly polite and respectful towards pure-blooded drow, especially those in some for of position of power.

Languages: Elven, Cant, Drow, Undercommon, Draconic, Orc.

Weapon of Choice: Shortsword and a light crossbow.

Background:
Hailing from a smaller city in the Underdark, she was born and raised amidst drow, half-drow and slaves of various races. Her mother was the slave of a minor drow house and she at first knew little about her father. Dania was raised among the slaves but never really treated as one, the other slaves showed her deference due to her illythiri blood, and the drow tolerated her for it but treated her as inferior because of her human blood. Dania spent most of her childhood on the streets of the city, stealing and making mischief with other children of mixed drow/human heritage. She mostly ignored her mother and was in turn ignored by her, and she learnt from an early age that the society of the drow is neither fair nor a safe place to grow up. She saw much death, suffering and violence growing up and was hardened to it.
When she was about 12 years old, she didn't really make note of her age, still doesn't in fact, she was caught stealing from a drow. She was beaten and dragged away by the drow-male she stole from, he took her into an alleyway and seemed about to kill her when he stopped and looked at her closely. He then demanded to know her name, and who her parents where. She answered her name and her mother's name truthfully and the male let go off her. He told her that he was her father, or that he at least guessed he was when he found out her age. He then told her that he wasn't going to kill her, but that she had to be a much better thief if she ever wanted to survive to become an adult. He then took her back to her household, where he served as a spy and promptly took her to his room. He then whipped her within an inch of her life, making her repeat every time he struck “Never get caught”. She learned an important lesson that day, and even if she never spoke to her father again she took the lesson to heart: Never get caught.
Her life was disrupted yet again when she was 17 years old, the house she belonged to got attacked by a rival house and the rival house won. She didn't want to become a slave, or worse, to the masters of the new house so she bailed. She traveled from city to city for two years before finally settling for Ssamath.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Dania is rather distrustful, but when she gives her loyalty to someone it's theirs for a long while. She does not readily betray those she serve, and those that show her respect will receive it in turn.
