Appearance:

Aelvar at first glance appears as a tired war veteran, but when looked at more closely you can see he is an elf who just started into his young adulthood. He has long black hair, with parts of it kept in a ponytail. His face has several scars which are still very visible, which may either suggest they are recent or the wounds were quite deep. Over his right eye is an eyepatch concealing his blind eye. Over both his eyes is a moon shaped tattoo, which is done with silver ink. His body build is athletic, though he has lost weight since he was in his "prime".

Personality Profile:

In his youth as a Weapon Master, he was considered charming and polite and most of all. He had a natural calmness about everything, even in tense situations he had the ability to remain calm and collected. Though at present day, with his current alcoholic condition and depression he is a lot less focused. And his other attributes that he was known for has pretty much faded completely. Though he still has moments where he is almost like his old self, though those moments comes rarer and rarer.

General Health:

Fit physique, though he is a lot less athletic then he used to be. Though despite his alcohol problems, he still trains extensively to stay in shape. And thanks to a different sort of training he is a lot more agile then he used to be, but he has lost some of his physical toughness and strenght.

Background:

Aelvar was born into a wealthy family of noble descent, but over the centuries have declined to become a lesser house. But they have always been known for having excellent Bladesingers and Weapon masters, and many of them have gone on to leading everything from military companies to whole armies. Aelvar was no different, from an early age he showed incredible talent as a swordsman and had a strong tactical mind. And when he reached maturity his family had already began using their former connections to make sure their son would rise in ranks faster than many others. Despite this obvious leap in ranks, his fellow soldiers anf friends accepted this, as they saw him as a good soldier who would become an excellent leader.

Over the years the pressure of leadership got to Aelvar, and after some Drow mysteriously appeared on the island. Aelvar was sent with a squadron of soldiers to rid them off the island, he made a mistake that cost the life of all his soldiers and nearly his own.

After this mistake, which left him blind on one eye and severly scarred Aelvar left the military life. And began training more intensively, trying to adjust his combat style to his disability. He trained and meditated in solitude for years, so long in fact that his family had discarded him. Merely leaving him to himself. Though, not because they lost faith in him, but simply because the felt he needed time to recover from the incident.

During a cold winter a prominent Weapon Master of a powerful house died of old age, and despite his reputation Aelvar was called in to become his replacement. Despite his poor leadership skills, he was still famed as a talented swordsman.

After several years of training the local guards at the house, and some of it's family members he was assigned to train the future head of the house, a young girl who had spent the last 57 years learning politics and various other aspects needed for someone of her stature to learn. They had already tested her for magic aptitude but found that she had no natural talent for it.

Several years later the parents of the girl were found dead, cut down in their own bedroom. Several arcanists came and tried to find the evidence of the murderer, and using some divination magic learned that Aelvar had killed them.

Though before they could arrest him and have him sentenced he had escaped, having been told of the outcome of the divination spell by his very own student. Aelvar fled by boat to the Sword coast, and started taking the odd jobs as a mercenary or bodyguard of wealthy nobles or merchants. Even though he knows he did not murder them, he fell into a deep depression, and began drinking heavily.

Goals:

Finding out the truth about the murders and be allowed back to Evermeet and also help repairing his familie's current reputation. Though he knows he himself will always be frowned and looked upon with suspicion.

- Become a better swordsman, though this is pretty much impossible in his current situation.
