Druid's Notice

The druid’s leather boots padded softly through the undergrowth, leaving no trace of his passing upon the leaf-littered forest floor. Moving swiftly through the ferns and branches, the druid moved at an easy pace, humming a tune as he navigated his way with his branch-turned-walking stick. All the while eyes were scanning through the trees with eased practice… scanning for his favourite variety of mushroom. The heavily robed druid came to a stop when he witnessed what was before him, alarm and bile rising into the usually calm druid’s demeanour as his eyes quickly took in the scene before him. Woods where he had trod many a time were gone. In their place were felled trees and crude huts made of twig and fur which he knew to be of orcish design. Clutching his staff so firmly his knuckles turned white, the druid took another step forward, then stopped, as he decided to take in the extent of the damage. The oaken staff and the druid’s heavy robes morphed as his body began changing shape, shifting gradually into the form of a great hawk. At once the bird took flight. He flew wide arching circles around the orcish encampment. The feathers on his neck stood on end noticing the great expanse of the wood the orcs were occupying for their camps. With a piercing screech he flew off toward the Friendly Arm Inn.
The druid got to work immediately after returning to his natural form. In various locations throughout the Trade Way and Amn, he left a message for all other druids written in druidic runes upon rocks and trees:
“The Black Orcs in the Sharp Teeth Woods must be stopped.”
