A branch shudders during a windy night. A thud can be heard by forest creatures as something hits the ground. A small shadowy figure approaches the scene. His arms reach out and his hands grasp what had fallen. The figure makes its way to the base of the tree pushing the object back from where it had come when a screech is heard. Moments later a blur of motion as a gnome races at incredible speeds through the woods followed by a swarm of buzzing. A large object being held aloft over his head.

Roland has discovered Bees and the hives they make. It took him several miles/kilometers to realize the correlation and set their home down... Fortunately the poison did not cause swelling but the stingers remain firmly planted just about everywhere in his chest, back, face, head, arms, and hands.

Some followers of nature are seen gathering in the old grove on the Lion's Way .

Laud chatter is heard as well as breaking sounds as wooden objects of all sizes are buried back under the earth from which they came .

New saplings also appear all over the Lion's Way , rumor has it they are placed there in celebration of spring for some ritual .

At the shrine of the Oak Father
Afar of Trade Way, 'neath natural arbor
Placed thereon is parchment tight rolled:
"Archdruid Sane" the caption does toll
Affixed with a globule of sap and left lay
There until found, the letter doth stay.

A masked figure dressed in all black robes approaches the shrine to Mielikki during midday. Reaching into a satchel he takes out a very large clay jug. He pours it into the river, slowly at first, and in plain view of the goddess. Fish slip out and begin swimming freely in the water. The gnome lowers his mask revealing a smile. "I have brought them from below, they wanted to see things up here. Nothing else there goes here. Our forests need more darkness. Cant bring a tree...." he rambles a bit. Then he wanders to the statue and offers a gesture of praise.

A growl is heard... Roland doesn't even turn, he could sense the beast. He knows what it wants. Within a moment the tiger leaps landing right where the gnome had been a moment ago. Yet no more. Vanished.

The tiger turns back to see about those fish. The gnome is quickly forgotten.

A missive is sent to the Circle along the trade way south of the Friendly Arm Inn, it is left in a leather scroll case to protect it from the elements.
I, Alyssia Leonhart, am working to restore and revitalize the Halls of Inner Light within Baulder's Gate. One of the nature goddesses, Eldath, the Green Goddess is represented there. I am seeking an educator on how best to incorperate her faith when representing the Halls as a whole. If any of you can aid me in learning about Her, I would be grateful.

I thank you in advance for any aid or direction on how to persue that goal.

The Song of the Trees Ritual
18th od Alturiak 1356

Purpose: Cleaning the land around the battlefields off the devils war from the unholy prensence of the devils to let new life grow.

Those attending: Admorin Oakbound, Natariel, Oona Sinfora, Vendor Xon, Terri Xon, Sane Fensen, Ma'Luke, Rose Riveneth, Sirion, Adrian Baker, Carwyn, Deleniel, Ell'adir Kadmon, Mith, Aaron Lyonaler, Adam Thinbeard, Arturi Valdaska, Jalib, Edelgarde, Freya and few other names unknown.

We met in the Eastern Farmlands. After a short intrduction we travelled to the Fields of Dead and over the Troll claws to the High Moor. We battled a few undeads, trolls and hobgoblins on our way. By the Boareskyr Bride we met a man, who looked like a Hin at first appearance. His name was Simon Groot. He told us that he was one with the land. He felt constant pain, even after the battles. It seemed he was hoping and waiting for people like us to come and do something. He agreed to help us, came along and supported the ritual.

At the High Moor Freya lead the group in a song, written by Sane and her, and Oona especially for the ritual. To record the lyrics I will write them down
just in case something like that may be needed again someday.

Song of the trees

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
The devil walked the land.
and left nothing but blood soil and sand.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Blood soaked the weary ground,
cries and screams were the only sound.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Until our heroes closed the door,
fiends were banished forever more

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
From unholiness please clean the earth,
so new life returning is what it's worth.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Bring forth a windy gale,
to blow away ashes pale.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Let loose the skies tear,
show to all there is nothing to fear.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Oak-father hear our pleas.
Bring back, grass, flowers and trees.
Let live birds, beasts, bugs and bees.

Round, round, go round, Circle, go round.
Come round, we serve with our heart.
Come round, we serve with our hearts.
If I hear that you pine for me,
i will return, part of the Circle i will be.

The song itself rather resembles a prayer or a chant. It's a droning and haunting tune with changing moods instead of what one might expect of a real song normally. It serves the purpose to get the gods to listen, here mostly Silvanus. We invited everyone to sing after us and Oona added a ritual dance to it as well.
During the song the earth began to shake. Trees approached walking and encircling us. Out of the trees around half a dozen Dryads stepped forward. They were drawn by the song and spoke to us. They told us that deeper in the High Moor there's still some devils walking the land. So they and Simon could not follow there. We had to fight and destroy the devils first, which we agreed to. Those of the Elder Circle and those bound to nature felt the same constant pain and depression as Simon felt there. But we bested the Devils despite all of it.

After that the Dryads and their trees followed us. They said that the danger is driven away, but the earth was still tainted and soaked with the devil's blood. So some of us spoke prayers and casted spells to consecrate the ground. But also the Dryads sacrificed themselves to heal nature and clean the land. After they died, the earth began to move again. Trees and plants grew back within moments. Even animals returned vey soon to that place. Our task we fulfilled. Later we met Simon again. His pain was eased, and it turned out he was a forest spirit. He thanked us, saying he could never repay us. He still mourned some of the trees and animals that he made friend with and that died in the past battles by the destruction. But we managed to encourage him to reconnect and find new friends. He went back to the nature and the new land, and turned into a tree.

The sacrifice of the Dryads though was awe-inspiring enough to motivate me to another, a second, research in Candlekeep.
