Calling all Explorers!

Two notices, written in Undercommon and fluid Drow, can be found on the Sshamath board just out side of Gloura's Wing. It reads:

Calling all Explorer's! Kel, the wandering bard, is in need of able-bodied adventurers and explorers to (protect Kel) and explore the Illithid Hive located past there mines. Two thousand coins will be paid to the explorers/adventurers/bodyguards, so the less that come the more you get paid! If interested, Kel can be contacted within the Gloura's Wing.

//Needing some protection to map out the walking area's of the Illithid Hive, since the monsters seem to have true seeing and I almost got raped by one of those Intellect Devourers while I was going through with the mage... I think it would also be a great RP opportunity as well! One thing to note is Kel is a level 1 Drow... So he's almost guaranteed to die unless he is ethereal hahaha. But regardless it should be fun! He'll even sing songs to try and keep the mood high

Shur ambles slowly toward the board and reads the note. He follows the words with his index finger, as soon as he reads the word Illithid his yellow eyes narrow in silent rage; the Druid's blood boils at the thought of slaying the squid faced monstrosities so he sets himself on taking the job personally.

After he finishes reading the note Shur enters GLoura's Tavern noisily, this time not bothering to close the door, to find Kel inside. Kel would notice his armor is singed, battered, and covered with dry blood. Shur's boots also track mud into the bar much to Gloura's dismay, the tall Drow glares at Gloura which shuts her up quickly as she almost complains to him about the mess.

"Are you Kell the wandering Bard?" he almost growls, still fuming from thinking about Illithid, "I can take you through the hive, and even confront the vithing Elder Brain himself. You look scrawny, though I can keep dos alive. Pay me bwael and I will see to it personally."

Kel looks up from his book, looking over Shur. "Usstan suppose a familiar face is better than a strange one. Vendui Shur. Don't dos remember ussa? Udos talked of killing methods just a few cycles back in here. Though it would seem that Usstan miscalculated dosst prowess at killing things. If dos can slaughter those mind-reader's then dos certainly phuul of great worth."

He looks around for any other possible recruits. Grinning, he adds. "And promptness. That is always a bwael trait among Illythiiri, Usstan had only just put that notice up and sat down when dos arrived. Very well though, udos can depart in a few hours, just let ussa stock up on a few supplies." He stands up, and begins heading out the door.

Shur scratches the side of his head as the now familiar Jaluk stands.

"Ah, xas, I remember dos . . . The one with a bwael head on his shoulders with a sense of adventure. . . Dos show potential. Many are too cowardly to risk such a trek, especially those so new to S'shamath. I 'll take you when you're ready."

He looks down at his chest, and takes off one of the several bombs strapped to his body by bandoliers. He looks at the red bomb carefully, grinning then as he does so, seeing himself on the metallic surface of the deadly device.

"Here, take this. You will need it." he tosses the bomb lightly into the air toward the Jaluk, without pulling the pin. He grins at him as he is forced to catch it.

Startled, Kel still catches the bomb with ease. "Usstan haven't used one of these since ussta days with ussta old Que'llar. G'rftte, hopefully this'll blow one of those vithing mind-reader's brains. And those who do naut challenge themselves will find themselves swallowed up and devoured by what lurks in these caverns, that is why cowards never last long down here." He grins, finally adding, "And besides, this will make for a spectacular tale for the cycles to come!"
