Far from Balder's Gate in a forest forgotten by time is where Api'Kartu found himself born to a tribe of Wild Elves...
The Kartu tribe lived within the valley of an ancient and forgotten forest; the majority of the adults within the tribe serving as Druids to the God, Silvanus. The nomadic tribe was descended by a once famed Wild Elf who lead his family to valley after the fall of Myth Drannor. It is there they took up the calling to protect nature, forging their own symbol as one of the runes that was etched into the Moonblade he carried. And thus the Kartu tribe began as one following the Druidic traditions. The leaders of the tribe was tasked with keeping the balance within their lands, while the children under the careful eyes of their mothers, learned from an early age which plants may be eaten, which were dangerous, and which might be used to treat wounds. Other tasks also learned from their mothers were how to move silently through the forest in order to hunt within the woods, and all at once be at peace with nature itself. From older brothers and cousins they learned how to defend themselves with a sword. This was taught along with going on patrols, which were primarily a way to keep watch on nearby tribes.
Upon reaching adolescence the children of the tribe would be selected by the elders of the tribe to serve to pick up the mantle of a Druid. Those who were not selected becoming warriors to protect the villages or if they could bare the burden to do so rangers. The rangers tasked with protecting the boarders between the tribe and the outside world. Guiding travelers away from the village, and trading in the few outposts the Kartu had with outside tribes. The final task given to rangers was keeping an eye on disturbances so that imbalances of the outside world would not spill across the Kartu borders.
Born as the second of three children, Api'Kartu had a typical life. He enjoyed learning of nature more so than his siblings spending many hours near his mother seeking out the knowledge of many of the secrets of nature, however as the younger of two boys he found himself as he grew older constantly practicing with his sword a to keep up with his brother. Yet his love of learning about nature ensured that he would not often win the skirmishes between himself and his brother. It came as no surprise when he was selected to be one of the youth to study and learn the ways of a Druid. Api spent much of his time listening to the lore taught to him. Though the valley was vast, with so many Druids there was little real work to be done.
Perhaps the thing which sealed Api's fate was one day his brother who had left the life of a Druid to serve as a Ranger spoke to his younger sibling of the outside world. For the first time Api learned of places where nature did not live in perfect balance. This left a sadness in his heart as he continued to learn so he might better improve his talents as a Druid. He wondered what sort of people could allow their lands to become twisted or desolate. What sort of people would live within the mythical things such as a city? It was no surprise that shortly after his celebration of adulthood when he quietly slipped from the boarders of his people's tribe. His mission to bring the same balance of the valley to at least part of the world.
Goals: Spend a century bringing balance to the land. After that he shall return home!
Plot Hooks: Trouble in the forest, Team good going to far requiring the TN Druid to help team evil, discovering secrets in the forest, aiding and learning from other Druids who pass by, learning more of civilization.
Misc: Api'Kartu sings, he sings a lot and makes up songs as many wild elves do. He is far more enthusiastic than skilled in this. He has a playful side, if invisible expect he will pretend to be a ghost making OOOOoooOOOOooo sounds. He finds half breeds more interesting believing they may find a way to be more than either half of their bloodline.
