An Elven Letter to the Orcs' Leader

Unread post by CorruptedDisciple »

The elves of Doron Amar offered the orcs a reply to their demands. It was written in large letters of common and it was written on formal parchment:

'Leader' Gajuthar,

Your efforts so far have all been bleak attempts to drive us from our home. Had you truly thought to break elven unity in such a manner? Every advancement have either made little or no impact upon our defences. Your human lords drive you where they please.
As is evident by this treaty you suggest. While your people have been sundered by the conflict, ours have been been unified as the war raged. You may wish to claim the forests. The forests are not that in which you will regain the dignity you lost on that very holy day. In fact, we have been strengthened by your feeble attempts. As you attempted this bargain, we were only able to confirm this fact: Your leadership must surely be slipping from your grasp for you to approach us with this so shamefully.

One do not beseech a foe from a point of strength and supposed 'superiority'.
