First Name: Ilvara'siin
Last Name: Zeh'liazz

Appearance:

Ilvara'siin can be considered quite handsome, even by elven standards. He is quite neat, and makes an effort in dressing himself appropriately to any occasion. He is roughly 5,9, his body physique can be described as lean, but not untrained. Physically he is weak, but his body is quite resilient. He has shoulder length ivory hair that is kept locked together with a golden band. He has light blue eyes, which can be considered quite rare among the Illythiiri. Like many wizards he dresses himself in rather heavy robes, which allows him to have many pockets and pouches for spell components and anything else he might need to have prepared.

Personality Profile:

Ilvara'siin can be described in one word, -controlled-, he rarely -if- ever looses his temper. He considers himself quite high class, and therefore can be perceived as being quite snobbish. He does not consider himself above other spellcasters, and is not afraid to admit when and if he has made a mistake. He does however look down on warriors and the like, and considers them tools to be used by people such as him.

He hates the church of Lolth, but does not openly oppose them. Ilvara'siin's ideology is that a arcanist rule is the best way to govern a city, and will fight fiercely to make sure his plans succeed.

Weapon of Choice: None, he relies completely on his spells and his summon.

Background:

Ilvara'siin was born into a lesser house in the city of Shimmering Webs, at an early age he showed great skill in the arcane arts. At the age of six, he had already mastered the cantrips all drow can cast, and had begun his training as a wizard.

The House Zeh'liazz was one of the lesser houses in Ched Nasad, and was not known for it's powerful matrons, instead it was known for making skilled and powerful wizards. (Which was not considered a blessing in the matron ruled city) Right after the birth of Ilvara'siin, the matron of the house issues a rule that the male to female ratio of the house was to be 3 to 1. And from that day forward, many young male children were to be sacrificed to the Spider Queen, and in return the matron continued to keep the full favor of her goddess.

After half a century, the house of Zeh'liazz began to loose control of it's wizards, despite their attempt to keep the male population down. To avoid a complete disaster the house made an agreement with an even lesser house, but a house that was known for it's many females, to merge together into one house.

Sadly, Ilvara'siin's new "sisters" began plotting schemes to have him sacrificed to Lolth. And since no one seemed to fight against this, he made the conclusion that the matron supported their plans, after all the spider queen revels in chaos, and wants her own children to do the same.

After having managed to survive for a few months of being "prepared" to be sacrificed, Ilvara'siin had managed to save up whatever money he had to afford a transportation spell to send him somewhere far away.

Once again he was cursed with bad luck, as the spell had sent him to Menzoberranzan, a city well known for it's fierce and powerful matrons.

Despite his ongoing chain of bad luck, fate seemed to turn around, as another house spotted his potential as a wizard and adopted him. Within a few short months they had arranged for him to attend the sorcere. Of course this was not out of the goodness of their heart, but rather an intention to use him to further their own goals.

After having finished the Sorcere, Ilvara'siin joined a group of arcanists that rebelled against the matron rule of the city. But since they lacked the power to oppose them directly, they preferred to act from the shadows, finding weaknesses and people they could use to hatch a greater plan to overthrow the matrons and their rule.

While being a member of this group, he was hired as a teacher at the sorcere, teaching Illusion, evocation and arcane lore. He took pride in his work and made sure his students would become the best they could be, and also to teach them the "right" ideology.

After over a century, he began to notice that the organization did not seem to make any proper plans, and were simply moving too slowly with their goals. He had grown angry and annoyed over the last century at their apathy, and lack of ability to listen to his ideas and plans.

This time he had become powerful enough to teleport himself somewhere else, and immediately decided that the city of Sshamath would be a perfect place for one such as him. And a place where he could further his own goals, and with time perhaps even return and "liberate" Menzoberranzan.

Goals:

- To increase his standing within the political Sshamath
- Become a member of the Conclave
- To cleanse Sshamath of Lolth worshipers (He does not let others know of these ambitions obviously)
- Once he is a member of the Conclave he seeks to establish the same rule in other cities, such as his home city of Ched Nasad.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

- He has several enemies in Menzoberranzan, especially former members of the organization he was a member of.

- The house that adopted him were completely unaware of his plans to overthrow the matron rule, and also did not like the idea of loosing one of their best wizards.

- He wishes to join the Conclave in Sshamath and take an active role in the cities politics.
