Template For Character Creation Reward(Not interested in reward):
First Name:Eowiewiel
Last Name: E'lenor
Appearance:
Lithe and well groomed, her bodily shapes are similar to many drow women. Her face has angular childish features. The black lips curve in smile most of the times, be it a shy smile or a wide confident grin. Her pink eyes are watching with curiosity and energy in them.
Race: Elf (Drow)
Age: 63 years
Height: 5'10"
Weight: Not specified.
Eyes: Pink
Hair: Dirty Gray (dyed silver)
Hair Style: Medium cut brushed to the left side, covering left eye.
Personality Profile:
Constantly tries to keep happy-go-lucky attitude. Her impulsive actions can be doom of her or attractor of interest. Keeps her mood light and enjoys her surrounds. If nothing is enjoyable, tries to lighten up the atmosphere. But facades do not last long. Gets mood swings under stress, but fights it with her inspiration. In interaction with other races, tries to keep herself civil. If threatened, chooses 'better part of valor' over valor, but stands ground if her fight can help somebody. If she cannot prove her non-hostility, plays along (sometimes with too much pathos) until she gets chance to prove otherwise. Sometimes lets her emotions go wild beyond her reasoning.
First thing that motivates her is independence. While being somewhat devout and faithful, ignores most traditions and rites that do not make sense or chain her life. She is grateful to her current patron and tries to help with promoting her ideas in her own way. Being born an invoker though, she feels like freedom to choose her path is limited. Feels delight when she gets an idea for a song or poem, no matter how bad it is. Wish to fathom the things she never had before in childhood makes her try many things, from learning new art or deliberate flirting with a dreamy individual.
General Health:
Constant training made her body fit enough to endure battles she survived through. Averagely athletic as could be allowed for her to survive, yet graceful enough to be stunning in ball dress (not that she had one).
Deity: Eilistraee.
Initial Alignment: Chaotic Good, after series of happenings before coming to Sshamath.
Profession:Treasure Hunter/Trader.
Base Class & Proposed Development:Favored Soul/Bard (No proposed development)
Habits/Hobbies: Meditation, exploration of inner self and past through reverie, drinking, creation of few songs and poems and their improvisation.
Languages: Common, Undercommon. Drow, Drowsign, Gnome. (One empty slot available)
Weapon of Choice: Bastard Sword.
Background:
In Ched Nasad, elder daughter of matron mother of lesser House was found in affair that threatened to sully noble blood of House. However, it was too late, woman already being pregnant with child. In fanatical rage, Matron put poor drow in dungeons for tortures that were continued until birth of child coming. Immediately, ceremony was prepared to clear the shame of one by price of two. Screams echoed in grand hall, child coming through pain of lashes administered to her mother. When dagger was up to pierce little flesh lump for victim to see, it stopped in hesitation. The child was a girl.
Despite having killed betrayer of blood, Matriarch was not pleased. It was true that having female child was blessing, but it was tainted in her opinion. Then, vicious mind planned a test.
As soon as girl was ready to walk, use knife and talk, she was thrown out on streets of Web, left to fend for herself. Then, it was time to wait.
Divination sounded after 4 years, claiming that hatchling survived. Small band of soldiers scoured slums of Ched, rounding up number of vagabond commoner children. In their midst, daughter of betrayer was found. All of them were taken to House, never to be seen again.
Later thousands of cycles, academy of priestesses got batch of fresh recruits sent by their families. Out of them, there were five Favored of Lolth, future foundation of faith to strengthen tyranny of chaos that was Web of Spider. One of them was young heir of lesser House, lips tightly shut in mask hiding rage and fury.
New recruits steadily passed the training courses reserved for each of them, numbers diminishing slightly. Of note, most deaths were more frequent in lines of divine acolytes, each of them vying for power and wealth. Five Favored soon became Three, all of them surviving attempts to kill each other. Young daughter of lesser House excelled mostly in command and self-defense. Soldiers who happened to be in her warband claimed that her presence alone was a lucky charm of the faith. Only those who tried to stab her back or were too foolish to comply with task they were assigned came to be casualties. Although, many were silent about the devotion with which she occasionally saved their lives in most dangerous moments, not wanting to be counted as weak.
Successes of acolyte despite bad grades in knowledge of religion outside of mystic secrets and rituals only made it more apparent that she and remaining promising individuals must pass test by attack on surface realm. Hastily, well prepared and armed group went off into darkness of caverns.
However, no news for about several tendays by human time was enough to provoke creation of search party to find out what was wrong. In phaer'zress filled caves, after cleaning remains of nest that was put by chuuls, mutilated half-dissolved remains of several students implied that freshmen failed. Magic trinket pile had many insignias of drow Houses each warrior belonged to had count of total raid party, including the priestesses.
That would be an end of story, but no one could guess that it was clever brutal ruse of party leader, who led her warriors to massacre, faking her death and escaping in the depths, seemingly ascending to run away from chains binding her free will.
Whatever happened to her, this girl came back after four years, coming down to depths that spawned her. But something about her... Changed. Cold emotionless angry face that was more constant than rare malicious speech was changed by brash attitude, smile and seemingly random spouting she said without much thought. It was not the same woman that was bearing brand of spider on her soul. She was reborn, starting her new life... By coming down in City of Weaving Intrigues. Why? It is not known.
Goals:
Currently, under different name, Eowiewiel is renting trading stall. So far, she managed to raise a huge sum through sales of artifacts pillaged from ruins nearby and interaction with certain adventurers. It is not known if she is going to retire after gathering riches or expand her influence into trade emporium...
She is already known to visit Guildhouses to find promising artisans and craftsmen.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
- After year or so, that priestess mysteriously vanished only to later, after several months, reappear with medium sized object wrapped in heavy clothing. Very few people know that it was in fact an infant child of her.
- The plane where she gave birth to child and and where she grows up is probably most safe place for that, for few will actually try to invade there, save for suicidal planar travelers.
- The House to which the betrayer belonged to no longer stands, only ruins of their Hold with banner of elf skull with three drilled holes in forehead, reminding of them by weird rumors that happened during attack on it. Only half of the estimated force was destroyed and in throne room Matron Mother of quellar was found dead. Weirdly enough, no claim against the attackers were made by supposedly missing nobles. Who knows? Maybe they are plotting in shadows...
