Background:
Born within the cold lands of Vaasa. His clan being broken and pushed into Damara as a young boy. His father killed in battle versus Orcs and his mother forced to work as a barmaid to support them, they struggled. Telinus learned to fight in the streets of Heliogabalus. He earned a reputation as a hard nosed and tough dwarf. This lead him to the attention of the local Church of Tempus. Being made a dwarven acolyte of the normally human god, he was put to work escorting trade caravans into and back from his homeland within Vaasa.
He rose through the ranks of the Church's Military order, "The Steel Fang" and unto prominence. He enjoyed the notoriety and lived like a small battle king but still without clan, he was an outcast according to most other dwarves. His mannerisms and culture being more in-tuned with his human counterparts. Growing old and with his last tie to the cold lands of the north being severed with his mothers passing, he took a contract to move a caravan through the northern passes and finally into the western heartlands where he thought to settle.
That was where everything went wrong, despite the usual trouble makers, goblin bands and bandits of low caliber, the trip was rather unadventurous. That was until making his final pass through the land of Thundar's Ride. There the caravan was ambushed by well armed and trained bandits he did not know were Zhentarim. While he fought courageously, he was over taken and the caravan mutilated.
While his tremendous constitution permitted him to live, the disgrace that awaited him within BG was greater than death itself. He was customarily dismissed by the relatively small faction of Steel Fang that resided there and he soon crawled into a bottle, refusing to come out until now. The rumors of Zhentish activities and Dwarven aspirations within these nearby lands have drug him out of retirement but he is now old an lacking a fraction to the skill he once possessed.
Still, he would aim to prove himself one last time, to his people and to his god. A fitting death for a dwarf who would ask for nothing less.......
