If there's no PnP version of this, it's not likely.
It would be kinda cool if zero level "pets" were available as NPCs but such critters could cause considerable lag if many people had them.

Warlocks do not really get any Invocations that allow them to summon demons or devils, as odd as that may sound. Rather, they are big on swarms of things. Rats, spiders, bats, all that kinda stuff.

However, Complete Arcane does have the Feat "Obtain Familiar". It has a Knowledge (Arcana) 4 ranks and arcane caster 3rd requirement. I stress the arcane caster, because it is not arcane SPELLcaster, which excludes warlocks (at least according the the book that this feat is in, pure warlocks cannot qualify for anything with arcane spellcaster level requirements, but they do qualify for anything with arcane caster level requirements)

The wording of the feat is as follows:

OBTAIN FAMILIAR
You gain a familiar.
Prerequisites: Knowledge (arcana) 4 ranks, arcane caster level 3rd.
Benefit: You can obtain a familiar in the same manner as a sorcerer or wizard (see the sorcerer class description and the accompanying sidebar, page 52 of the Player's Handbook). As with a sorcerer or wizard, obtaining a familiar takes 24 hours and uses up magical materials worth 100 gp.
For the purposes of determining familiar abilities that depend on your arcane caster class level, your levels in all classes that allow you to cast arcane spells stack.

Obtain Familiar could be an RP feat warlocks could spend on, if they want. Or, it could work similarly to the wizard familiar. It would just need to balanced properly, then.

I would certainly take it. Doubly so if you all added a fey familiar, a demon familiar, and a devil familiar. Like a pixie, a quasit, and an imp. Would also be nice for themed / evil wizards, especially in the underdark, since Ssssssammaaath law explicitly allows for imp minions.

If I remember my 2DA file correctly, this would not be a hard feat to implement.
Part of a wizards familiars abilities is the power to cast any ranged touch attack the wizard has memorized. Since warlocks blast is such this would probably be a bit OP.
Rasael?

I tried multiclassing a wizard / warlock to test that very thing, Gal. Familiars cast TOUCH attacks, but not RANGED touch attacks. Warlocks have no touch attacks, as far as I know - everything for them is an RTA.

I was disappointed as hells, too. Thought I had found an easy way to double my damage

As AWESOME as that would be (I would need a rabbit familiar) I don't think Hideous Blow is treated as a Touch Attack mechanically, at least not since we turned it into a quasi-mode. The familiar would not be able to turn it on to use it.

While it IS an effect "mechanically" it IS a touch spell in the books. But it would still not count in the games mechanics is my guess...

Well, technically clerics are also casters of arcane magic that doesn't use arcane spells, you know. Right?
Right?

...Please? :P
