Background:
Thorgrim, son of Jarngrim, of the Foecleaver tribe has so far had a normal life for a barbarian. He has fought many great warriors and won just about as often as he has lost. His most significant loss happened about a year ago, however, when he suffered a blow to the head that knocked him out for several weeks. His skull cracked and he still carries an impression from the blow.

Now that the tribes have been called upon to unite, his chieftain has told him that they will soon need him to hit things with his axe, which Thorgrim is happy to do, of course. There's nothing he likes to do more. He is far too daft to understand anything of what is happening, but he is very loyal to his tribe and will listen to the the leaders' commands – as long as they keep it short.

Goals:
  • Thorgrim has a too simple mind to have any significant goals. He will battle to show that he is the strongest, but he'll never try to become chieftain. At least not intentionally. He'll probably challenge the chieftain for a show of strength, though.
  • He has heard the word Champion and likes to think of himself as the best Champion of the tribe. He will challenge anyone who claims otherwise.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
  • Thorgrim has 8 int, 8 wis, and 8 charisma. He's generally stupid and not at all charming.
  • If defeated, he will eventually challenge the victor to a new battle once he has recovered.
  • He thinks those who use magic in battle are weak, even if he will probably cower in fear at any show of mystical power.
  • If someone speaks to him in sentences with more than five words, he'll have trouble decoding the message and will most likely end up staring blankly forward and drooling until his mind either catches up or simply gives up.
