Xeldaran Tal'ein's Biography

First Name: Xeldaran
Last Name: Tal'ein
Appearance: You would look upon a fairly tall, slightly slouched forward if resting on his staff, man. He's robed, and typically travels with a hood over his head; one could figure that he wears it in a way that would conceal some sort of wound he has. If one were to look at him under the hood, or if he were to present the features to you, you would see a milky-white blind eye with scarring on the cheek next to it. If one would know that he was a scholar in sorcery, it could be suggested that his scars and blindness in one eye was caused by some sort magic misuse early on.
Despite his rather ugly wounds, this would be his only true outward imperfection as far as appearance and beauty as a Moon Elf. ( His wound could be over-looked if he has the wound covered by hood or cloth. Any questions on this/concerns on this, don't hesitate to ask me.)

Age: Around 250 or so.
Height: 5 1/2
Weight: 110 lbs
Eyes: Night-Blue
Hair: Silver with a light blue highlight. Its slicked back and about shoulder-length.
Facial Hair Style: None.
Personality Profile:
General Health: He seems to be in fairly good health, however he appears to be a bit weaker than he lets on.
Deity: Mystra
Initial Alignment: True Neutral (He sometimes leans one way, and ocassionally the other, depending on the situation. Some of his ideas and methods may be unorthodox to those who may befriend him that do not share in the same ideals.)
Profession: Traveling Sorcerer studying in various magics and necromancy.
Base Class & Proposed Development: Sorcerer (10) Pale Master (10) Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep (10)
Habits/Hobbies: He tends to walk with his staff, and lean on it idly if standing. If sitting at a fire, he may pull out a journal and a tome.
Languages: Elven, Common (May learn more as he goes.)
Weapon of Choice: Quarterstaff
Background: Xeldaran was born in Evereska long ago, beginning as a young apprentice sorcerer. His father was a fairly adept mage, whom had taught Xeldaran most of what he knew about sorcery before he had known, before leaving Evereska after he had died from an unknown illness. His mother was a typical wife who had preferred a simple life, and looking out for Xeldaran. Xeldaran had always grown up with an affinity and fascination for magics, always eager to learn. Once his father had died, he was devastated. He tried to find magic that could help his father regain his health and live, however there was none that could heal his strange affliction.
Xeldaran was desperate as a young apprentice mage, finding one lone tome within his father's study that had told about necromancy. He found a spell that he believed that could raise his father, alive and well. The spell backfired. It was a dark magic that he had never heard of, and thus wounded him from his ineptitude to wield it. It had caused his blindness in his left eye, along with acid-like scar tissue on his left cheek. Xeldaran's father's body was however touched by the dark magic, twisting it into some abominated corpse void of flesh.
His mother had heard the commotion of casting and sorcery, rushing to see what it was. Xeldaran looked back at her with his wounds, wide-eyed. Then the horrifying corpse of his father had risen as an undead, shambling towards her with an intent to kill. Xeldaran's mother stared in horror at what Xeldaran had done, unable to move. And so, his mother was devoured by the undead creature. Xeldaran realized what he had done, and decided to flee Evereska, never to return for the deeds he had committed. Going forward, he decided to block all that happened back then, and sought to seek knowledge in sorcery, necromancy, and how to control it.
Goals: To learn more about The Weave, magics, travel, and how to control magics/necromancy.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Right now, I'm not too sure since I have just come up with the character's concept. I have done reading on wiki's, however I've only done a decent amount so far to at least get the character going.
