Syolkiir is by no means charismatic, he's rather shy and quiet. Due to his upbringing his confidence is minimal in social settings, as can be heard in his voice when speaking to those he's not familiar with. He's not built like a Greek god though he is healthy and fit considering how active he'd been his whole life. Having inherited his mothers eyes, hair, and skin tone, he can be considered a pretty boy but rarely combs his hair or cleans his armor, giving him a rugged look and not so much the smell of a pine forest, but more of a burnt wood scent. As a bowman, he rarely comes close enough to a blade to receive scars. His default facial expression can be described as angry, or as if he's focused in deep thought, making him seem unapproachable. However, his atmosphere can easily change to warm and welcoming when he breaks a smile. He doesn't exactly turn heads unless he wears items and garments that would do so. He can be described as a gem hidden in the dirt, one who really needs to be comfortable around someone to exhibit any charismatic traits.

Background

Conception: The story begins with Syolkiir's mother, Kyre'kiir (Flawless Gem) Celevessin, a Sun Elf of High Forest. She had green eyes and beautiful, long, blond hair. Around her neck she wore a necklace which appeared to be a piece of the sun encapsulated in a diamond. While living in High Forest she would earn a living exploring to find and sell ancient artifacts, and on her free time study magic. Facing all sorts of threats from all direction in High Forest, She'd flee A kuttke after the year 882 DR and eventually land in Loudwater. There she would reside and study philosophy and magic. After the year 1150 DR she'd retreat again, along with others of the Celevessin family, due to the growing number of humans and traveled toward Evereska.

While passing through the Forgotten Forest she had a life threatening encounter with a group of Treants. She was seperated from her group in terms of life and death, and it was then she met and was saved by Sy'Vil (Wild Wolf), A Wood Elf who would later become the father of her child. Temporarily blinded by love, (And questionable mind spells), she stayed with Sy'Vil for some years trying to adapt to the wood elves way of life in a very small encampment in the treetops. Its not until she was pregnant with Syolkiir in the year of 1231 DR that she'd remember exactly who she was and would question if the lifestyle is fit for raising a child. She would soon leave the small encampment in Forgotten Forest on her own with Syolkiir in the womb and finally reach Evereska where Syolkiir, the "Wild Star", is born.

Youth: Having been born in Evereska to a Sun Elf mother, Syolkiir was raised as a Sun Elf. Many of his early years would grow his later traits, opinions, and values. Having been raised by only his mother would mold his soft hearted demeanor toward women. Shaped by his society as well as the stories told about his mothers retreat, he would grow a certain hate towards humans. Having been told of his father's heroism, he would adopt an open mind about other elven folk and felt no elf was below him nor above due to race, except drow of course.

Though he blended in physically with other Sun Elves, he would stand out mentally. He was nowhere as serious about school, studies, or religion like most Elves. He wasn't as smart nor wise as other Sun Elves and didn't know how to read magic. He would learn basic chants and spells by ear or visual representation rather than by written word. He would also learn magic from his mother, though he clearly had a hard time. This lack of skill and interest in reading and learning magic would prevent him from excelling as a mage. He was however talented in other areas where interest would come naturally.

Ruling out that he'd not pursue a career in magic, his mother would supply him with items to help explore his inner self. He was most notably good with a sling as a child which would later influence his skills with a bow. He also had remarkable hearing, perfect pitch, and a deep love for music. He grew up playing the lute but wasn't as charismatic as others to be able to make a career out of it, which would explain his fascination and appreciation for bards. Much like his mother, he would too explore and find gems, ancient artifacts, and other unique items. He also enjoyed crafting jewelry with the gems for his mother and female friends. Strangely enough, sometime through his childhood a black cat whom Syolkiir dubbed the name Mor'Tan (Darkness Brother) came into his life which would later shape his ways in sneaking, hunting, and reflex skills. Syolkiir welcomed the cat despite unlucky superstitions.

Adolescence: Sometime around the Year of Wandering Winds, 1251 DR, life began rapidly changing for Syolkiir. His friends had slowly been growing apart due to their differences, his mother had began focusing on her own life now that her son had grown somewhat mature, and he wasn't particularly good at anything to make a living in Evereska. Many questions had arose for Syolkiir concerning his religion, his future, his love life, his lineage, and his curiosity of the outside world grew tremendously. The older he became the more apparent his difference from others in the community became. Daily reflection on these thoughts depressed Syolkiir and his mind and soul became vulnerable to many forces and influences.

The major turning point in Syolkiir's life is a day he could never speak of nor ever forget. His mother had been seeing a rather wealthy, arrogant, snobby, Sun Elf mage who didn't think highly of Syolkiir. He refused to accept and welcome Syolkiir as his own son because Syolkiir didn't take the Sun Elf lifestyle seriously. He looked at Syolkiir as beneath him, a disgrace to the Sun Elves. The gods of evil had took advantage of his vulnerable depressed state of mind at this time and had filled Syolkiir's head with bad thoughts, which Syolkiir, as careless as he was about religion, passed off the thoughts as his own.

Syolkiir and the Elven mage got into a violent dispute. After slandering Syolkiir in front of his mother and critisizing her parenting and blaming her for Syolkiir's outlook on life and what the mage referred to as a failure of an upbringing, the mage raised his hand to Syolkiir so Syolkiir snapped. The deities of evil had took temporary control of Syolkiir's thoughts, enough to put a dagger through the mages neck. Upon pulling the dagger out he immediately realized what he'd done and what would be of him if he stayed. He then quickly casted his mother to sleep and looted his own home of supplies and the mage of all the gold he could carry for his retreat into the outside world. Teary eyed, Syolkiir kissed his mother's forehead, took her necklace as a piece to remember her by, apologized, and said his goodbyes, knowing he would never be forgiven or return. He then travels toward the Forgotten Forest, his cat Mor'Tan following his every step.

Post-Adolescence: While in the Forgotten Forest, the fun childhood games of hide and seek he'd play with his cat had suddenly turned a more deadly version. He was no longer hiding from his harmless cat but from trained Evereskan soldiers, bounty hunters, treants, and other various creatures of the thick shadowy wood. In time spent hiding, he'd reflect on his happy childhood memories and compare to his gloomy present, further contributing to his sadness and inviting the gods of suffering.

Days go by, his lifelong companion Mor'Tan had gone missing. Syolkiir's depression grew even worse and he couldn't feel more alone. His depression took a toll on his care to sneak and survive, and surely enough, he had been tracked. He didnt see, but heard, as a group of elves headed toward him and he gave up, dropped to his knees, and bowed his head, ready to be executed or taken captive to face his judgement. The group swarmed him, bows aimed at him from all angles. One particular elf picked him up by choke-hold into the the air. Syolkiir looked at the Elf, the face of death he thought.

The elf looked at Syolkiir while choking him with one hand, and with his other hand looked at Syolkiir's mother's necklace. It is then the face of death turned into a face of warmth and disbelief. Choke turned to Hug. The elf hugged the breath out of Syolkiir knowing by the necklace and his resemblance to his mother that this was his son. Syolkiir emotionally broke down, and he hugged back, a feeling of rejuvenation filled him and his urge to give up on life had subsided. Syolkiir had stayed with his father Sy'Vil for a few years. The years of damage from feeling different or out of place most of his life were replaced by years of praise for his talents.

The year is 1314 DR, Year of the Shadowtop, A perfect time to leave as the shadowtop trees flourish and aid in a safe escape from Forgotten Forest. Confidence and mental vitality restored, he departed from the Forgotten Forest and would continue his journey toward Loudwater. Upon leaving and looking back at the Forgotten Forest, he noticed Mor'Tan only for a moment, they stared briefly at each other and soon the cat ran off into the woods. It would be their last moment together as far as he knew. He couldn't help but smile to himself as he walked away and wonder what the cat truly was.

Upon arriving in Loudwater he immediately realized why his mother left. Around this time Nanathlor Greysword was overthrowing their government. In hopes to clear his name, he joined the army's ranks, aiding them with his bow skills, leading to the defeat of Pasuuk Rensha, helping end the War of the Returned Regent. After victory and having fought along the side humans his racism subsides and learns the common tongue. Time passes and he continues his journey, landing himself in the city of Secomber. His stay there is short, he encounters his first dwarf and immediately grows a hatred for the race. When a dispute turns deadly, he kills two dwarfs who underestimated him. Taking their belongings with him he flees, Landing himself in Ardeep Forest.

While in the Ardeep area, he is approached by a few Sun Elves who welcome him due to his appearance and admiration of his bow talents. He learns soon they are memebers of Eldreth Veluuthra (Victorious Blade of the People) and helps them carry out a few missions. Realizing they are on a mainly genocidal agenda, he heads the other direction landing himself in Daggerford. His stay was short and unwelcoming. More disputes lead to an early departure landing himself in Dragonspear Castle. His stay there is short as well, the dwarves didn't welcome the outsider after there somewhat recent fall and further gave him reason to hate dwarves. After a long journey, the year is 1348 DR, Year of the Spur, Syolkiir finds himself at Baldur's Gate.

While in Bladur's Gate he stops at Elfsong Tavern. It is there he overhears people speak of an elven encampment by the name of Doron Amar. Syolkiir's journey away from home to find a new far away home, far enough for his past not to catch up to him had been a long one, the rumor of an all elven haven sounds promising and he would now seek out Doron Amar in hopes it's not superficial community much like his old hometown.

Having found a place of temporary peace, he reflects on his life up to this point. His journey had brought him closure to many of his questions in life. He had satisfied most of his desire to see the outside world for himself, he had met his father, and he is comfortable that his future is in his own hands. He also is comfortable now that he can make a living in Baldur's Gate selling his hand crafted jewelry and offering his bow of service to those looking for a mercenary. He does however, still ponder what truely took over him that one night in Evereska that changed his life around. He considers himself evil because of the incident which is why takes most opportunities to do good for people, as if to somehow acquire forgiveness for his wrong doing and prevent bad karma. Driven by fear of a relapse, he began studying religion and deities to look for an answer. Having barely met other elven women on his travels, he ponders what would become of his love life. Driven by guilt, he began actively taking interest in the study of magic as to somehow make his mother proud even though she may never be around to see. Certain that only time will surely find the answers to his questions he relaxes comfortably for the first time in what felt like century.
