Fellian often became the center for attention at his family's many parties, as he turned out to be quite gifted with the instrument. His family would invite many other halflings from other parts of the city, they lived in at the time and throw a huge party with food and wine/ale.

It was during one of these parties that he discovered his talent as a Bard. His family had invited a famous musician from out of town. It was midways into the party, when a group of drunks entered the house to cause trouble the musician the family had invited showed his true talents. Suddenly the room was filled with fantastic music, Fellian could feel the music enter his body and his mind became "blurry" and he could not focus. He peered down at the musician who now stood behind him playing on his much better crafted lute. Fellian took a look out over the room and saw that everyone had stopped quarreling, and instead starting singing and cheering, including the drunks that had arrived. Fellian turned to the musician and said immediately "I have got to learn how to play like that, will you teach me?" he said with a wide smile on his face. The Bard turned his face to look at Fellian while continuing to play on his lute "Ofcourse, this town can use more skilled musicians" he returned Fellians broad smile. (Fellian joined in with his own lute right after - though cleary without the "effect" the bard had done)
