Devil assasination on the Night of Ches 25th

A lone Azmodeth, having walked off for the night, from teaching her apprentice some conjurative magics, found herself approached by a winged female devil. Azmodeth was behind cover from any of the towers at the Inn, even if they were manned, which they are not, in recent likely events of the blackOrc attacks.

Devil : *walks out of the shadows and approahces* Hellooo deary.. * dripping sarcasm and mockery*
Azmodeth: You have Very fine wings, im most envious of their beauty. *smirks*
Devil: You have a lovely student. I think I will kill her *grinning, her eyes cunning*
Azmodeth: oh, don't go and bother doing that now . . .
Devil: (interrupting with intent behind her words) Candlekeep must pay for what it has done!
Azmodeth: (training off, continuing what she was saying..) she is really not worth the bother
*after a moment, Azmodeth curiously but caustiously draws nearer, closer behind a rock where they can not be seen by those infront of FAI.*
Azmodeth (whispering): You intrigue me . . Perhaps I can help.
*her motives unsaid, but recounting Azmodeth has been learning about summoning recently, in an attempt to help a friend, she presses onwards to discern some information, like any good operative*
Azmodeth (close, whispering, behind the rock): What have they done? *curiously*
Devil (not whispering, self righteously) : You can help , by giving them a message *eyes narrowing slightly, but not enough to be noticed, she was drawing intent in her mind, surely*
Azmodeth (whispering): *nods once* So be it.
The Devil leaps at Azmodeth, caught off guard and no spell defenses up, she lands afew blows, Azmodeth lets off a torrent of her most powerful and penetrating spells to some real effect, but not enough - she begins to flee for her life, in the indecision, nearly gets cut down, and is forced to teleport to safety. luckily the Devil didn't think about preparing for the situation, and thought to dimensionally anchor the area. Azmodeth is ported to FAI, where she quickly grabs what guards there are around.
There were only a few guards, but luckily reputed to be some of the best, the bolted out of the keep, having heard some of the noise and commotion outside while being randomly hijacked by Azmodeths yapping about a Devil in the area through her haste.
The Devil found Azmodeths apprentice, Lexa Dreskia, having been fortunate that her apprentice thought to run towards her master when the attack started -but left alone when Azmodeth teleported to safety.
The Devil runs off before many adventurers or guards show up on the scene. what was left was a dead apprentice. The devil spoke her intent and fulfilled it. Message received.
Azmodeth grabbed the body, secured it to a safe location behind the auctioneers stall in the inn, and used a scroll to raise her apprentice.
Adventuers and explorers started gathering, some rushing inside, later then would be helpful, to be safe from the commotion outside, although it was over, the devil had escaped and ran off somewhere into the night.
Talks later were discussing Candlekeeps involvement with devils lately, Lexa having sworn she has not been in any summoning herself nor witnessing any of the sort. Some of the guards at the inn seem to know more of the story, possibly having heard rumours from all the traffic.
Azmodeth decides that without the Devils name, nad just the location of impact, its possibly best to head out before too much time passes, and scan the area for residual magics. Using some detect magics and trace teleport spells, with the help of some detecting evil and planar binding spells to snese evil outsiders, the party puts its craft patiently together to assemble what little knowledge there can be gained in the aftermath. She takes the notes, unsure what to make of her findings, and not enough time to sort out any specific details just yet, she plans to bring them to the keep for study, and in perhaps warning.
