Base Class & Proposed Development: Favored Soul - No planned pathway, though events could lead him to become a cleric if his fervor grows, he currently lacks the emotional depth and certainty of faith that this would require.

Habits/Hobbies:
Has a number of nervous tics, especially with regard to his left leg. Never one to sit still, he needs the wind against his face and sun at his back to feel truly happy. Jonah is a wanderer, and considers this to be his sole vocation. To him, life is a pilgrimage without a destination, as he tries to understand why Shaundakul has chosen to change the course of his life.

Jonah has a gap in his front teeth that he tries to hide, though this means stifling a smile that comes to him quite naturally. He sometimes whistles through his teeth quite by accident, and often finds songs and melodies get stuck in his head, unbidden. When channeling Shaundakul's favor, he whistles snatches of this bright music quite by accident.

He has a love of fine cooking, and dabbles in it himself, trying to recreate dishes he's sampled in his travels. This rarely results in any great success (and sometimes in great indigestion), though the cooking always relaxes him.

Languages: Common. Jonah never took his studies seriously, and has only the faintest grasp of history, language, and culture.

Weapon of Choice: A warhammer and shield, when the dead are at hand. Generally speaking, he's keen to rush in swinging a greatsword, cursing and shouting.

Background:
He was a bit of a roustabout and a scoundrel in his youth, and in his home village he was treated with alternating mirth and scorn. He shirked his studies, tipped cows, and generally made a muck of things. When Shaundakul's favor began to manifest itself, he wasn't sure what to do. His father, embarrassed by his behavior, was quick to encourage him to set off on a Pilgrimage, assuring him that Shaundakul would want him to travel far, far, far, far away from home. Full of piss and vinegar, Jonah was happy to oblige, though perhaps a mite unready.

Goals: To walk the "Path" laid before him, and to better understand why he was chosen. Jonah has a kind heart, but this is tempered by his belief that in the end we all have to walk our Path alone. He has left too much behind to develop any strong attachments to those he meets, and feels the most at peace with dust on his boots and a road ahead.

In the short-term, he wants to journey to Candlekeep. A sage on the road told him of the place, and how to get there (if he can remember the directions). He's half-convinced that someone there could help shed light on why Shaundakul may have chosen him, and what it is that he's supposed to do.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Jonah has a horrible sense of direction, and can barely read a map. His memory of locations and landmarks is so poor, that he often finds himself "discovering" and building small shrines to Shaundakul, even in places where he has been many times before. For the love of the Divines, don't let him lead your party any further than the town tavern, it will not end well.
